This place was amazing. It was my first time there and we were treated like kings and queens. The owner, Goody, made us sushi, sort of, omakase style and everything that he made was high quality and very flavorful.

Really great food. Service is fantastic. The staff are super friendly. Prices are great. Between the pricing and the food, this place is a repeat visit for sure!
I've been coming here at least once (and often twice!) a month for years. The only times I've ever regretted it is when my eyes get bigger than my stomach, and I eat too much, which is surprisingly easy, given how good the food is!response / report this review -

Good sushi. Quality. But the secret here are the Habanero Wangs. I believe they are the best wings I have ever eaten. Its not a fluke. Also, wait staff are great and treat us like long lost friends, even if we have not been in awhile.

Good food good prices good beer. Kind of hidden Next to in and out. Mr lava roll is good but kind of spicy. Teriyaki chicken is really good

Food was DELICIOUS!! Staff was very polite and welcoming!!! Definitely my new sushi spot!!! I eat sushi on the regular and tried many sushi spots in San Diego. Goody's sushi is so far the BEST! I recommend the Philadelphia roll

We have never been dissatisfied with anything we have ordered from Goody's. The service is very friendly and always with a smile. My favourites are the black dragon and Mr lava lava rolls. Also, ask about the off menu menu and definitely try the chef's choice. You won't be disappointed. This is the best sushi place!

Amazing sushi, friendly and professional staff, clean restaurant. Chef was more than willing to do some custom orders and recreate dishes from other restaurants upon request. Definitely recommend this place.

Great food every time I come, Goody's staff is friendly and the sushi is on point. The owner who the restaurant is named after is usually there and makes sure his costumers are well taken care of. Try the tipsy tuna or trinity roll! Also the fried PB&J is a must. This place never lets me down!!!

This place is super awesome. The hostesses made us feel very welcome and at home. The sushi was very tasty and ice cream hit the spot.

Decent sushi place for the location and price. Not award winning by any means, but if you are in the area and craving sushi, this place should hit the spot. Rolls were a tad bit small, but weren't overly pricey at least. The sushi chefs seemed to have a lot of energy and our servers were friendly, so the atmosphere was pretty good. Decently crowded even 45 minutes before closing when we went in.

Hands down the best spot to get sushi in all of San Diego, if not all of the West coast!! 5+ stars all around. The food, environment, staff, service is grade A! Hard to eat sushi anywhere else after eating here!
