The staff of this hospital are incredibly patient and helpful! I always feel at home when I'm getting a regular check up!
The receptionist Alexandra in the maternity ward was exceedingly rude to my family. I did not get the name of the second receptionist but she was equally as nasty. We have delivered 4 children at this hospital in the past and have never dealt with this type of unprofessional behavior before. The medical and maintenance staff here are always friendly, but the receptionist here could all use a crash course in customer service.
I have delivered 3 babies at Good Samaritan between 2013-2016 and I have had great experiences every time. Samaritan OBGYN (my doctors) and all of the nurses have been great. I am an ICU nurse as well so I'm picky about my healthcare. Good Samaritan also specializes in high risk deliveries & has a level 3 NICU.
After reading some negative reviews posted here----Being a nurse and working in hospitals for a long time, I would highly recommend that anybody who is treated rudely to report it to the nurse manager or higher up right away at any hospital that you are at. No one deserves to be treated with disrespect, and if it is not reported right away, changes won't be made (I have never experienced any types of disrespect/rudeness in my visits).
Absolutely horrible and rude. Strange that not only was the nursing staff rude, I took my kids to the cafeteria and they treated us awful. Almost funny because the place was empty, you would think bringing a family of 6 would be beneficial to profits, apparently not. Labor and delivery staff was rude.
FANTASTIC hospital! Reading these other reviews and you can't bash an entire hospital bc u encountered one rude person.
Rude ppl are everywhere & if u had a problem u should have spoke to a supervisor immediately. I recently had a loved one in cardiac ICU and they weee fantastic!!
Planning on delivering here. Getting files transferred from current clinic. Everytime I call to speak with a operator to get transferred to the clinic I ALWAYS get a rude operator(3x so far). Today her name was "Peggy". I asked to be transferred and she was impatient and rushed, "You know the clinic is closed today" Me-"Oh it's closed!?" Her-"Yeah its closed every Sunday" very condescending & I truly had no idea. Making me re-think delivering at Good Sam and choosing another hospital.
The first time I called I didn't finish my sentence and the operator clicked me over to the wrong department, just as rude & condesending as the other operators.
Great way of running a new patient away
Just had open heart surgery at Good Sam. The Cardiac Care ICU nurses and Nurse Practitioners were amazing. Almost hated to leave such good people. .Mary, Megan, Nicole, Alex, Sarah, Holly, Shanna, Trina, and Sara I will never forget you.
The worst hospital ever to give birth. The nurses were rude and didn't knock before coming in. The pediatrition who was so called trying to read me my discharge info was rude. Just a totally unprofessional staff. Will never go to this hospital for anything again. It made me so depressed to even be there at a time when im suppose to be happy. Also they were very rude to my boyfriend and robbed him of his chance to see his first child born because of not checking on me timely. Plus i was so drugged from the waist down i couldn't even feel my baby come out which caused complications when he came out do to the nurses not doing their job. I was afraid i was going to lose him. Just a no. Better off at Bethesda. They are awesome!
I'm currently here, as a family member, and I'm in tears because of how rude and awful these nurses are. Beyond that, you would think that if a post-(major)op patient has paged you twice and has a fever, would warrant some attention. No, it's been an hour since I've seen anyone. God forbid I go ask for help and get the much loved 'eye -roll' or 'you can wait ' attitude. For a lack of better words crappy, LAZY care.
I had such high hopes because the ladies in the surgery waiting room were fantastic. Bummer.
Wait times for an unltrasound are so rediculous that I had to leave. I arrived 15 minutes early and waited for an HOUR before having to leave to get my daughter from preschool. I am switching doctors due to the fact that they only deal with Good Sam.
Great hospital with an amazing staff. Both of my children were born here and I would recommend it to anyone.
This place is terrible. I took my girlfriend here and we've been waiting here for five hours and still have not seen the doctor. People are really sick throwing up in the waiting room and nobody is helping them. If haven't already been here for 5 hours I would leave. Don't come here if you have an emergency cause you will probably be dead before you see the doctor. Finally saw the doctor and he says we have to go somewhere else. No help at all after 5 hours. Thanks for waisting my whole day for nothing. This place should be shut down
The staff that helped me give birth was amazing. I loved my midwives and nurses there. As soon as I went to the next room however, I was met by terrible nurses. They were unkind and totally discouraged me from nursing. The only person that really helped was the lactation consultant and I am so grateful. The push for formula and unkindness however has pushed me to decide on a new hospital for my next one. Not a good hospital for births.
When I gave birth to my son, they were always on top of their game. I had complications they not only saved his life, but mine as well! They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone!
