  Love it. Has a nice variety. Essnsal oils, local made cutting boards, Pendleton blankets and etc. Coffee, tea, and spices. Pottery and so much more

  I was looking for a petosky stone mitten necklace but they didn't have any on the floor. The sales staff asked how long I was going to be in town and told me to stop back in before I left town. I went in the next day and they had two options for me to choice from! Small town service at it's finest.

  I have shopped with the Gold Mine many times. "Integrity" is a great one word description of the business. Always, always, friendly, personal, and never any pressure to make a purchase.

  My wife's wedding ring came from here. I took a picture of it as she saw it and liked it on a trip we took when we were dating (I did that with out her seeing me do it). A couple years later I contacted the store and they knew exactly which one it was. This business is by far tremendously better than any mall chain u will ever encounter. Their designs are very unique and one of a kind.
  
  It's worth the drive to beautiful St Ignace and they will ship items also. Owners and sales staff are very professional yet laid back and put zero pressure on making a sale.

  My wife and I travel to Mackinaw City/Mackinaw Island every summer. A must stop is the Gold Mine in St. Ignace. There is no pressure from owner or sales staff. They have designs unique to their store created by co-owner Yvonne. Men are equally represented. This last stop was in July of 2016, I purchased two sets of cuff links
  one of Petosky Stone and I can't remember the other name of stone, but the stone is white with fine grey lines in it, again, very unique designs. Did my wife make any purchases.. you must be kidding. This is a class jewelery store that I highly recommend you visit.

  If you are looking for beautiful, creative, and well priced items then this is the right place. If you are looking for Knowledgable, interesting, and friendly people this is also the right place for you. If you are looking for information about the area along with some funny stories this is the place for you.
  
  I cannot post a picture of the ring because I have not proposed yet. But in anticipation of proposing I emailed Tom and Yvonne about one desing that happened to be made in a few different ways. After three or four emails I felt that the design and colors they sent me were perfect. Of course for an engagement ring being made 8 hours away I felt that I wanted to have her sized by the store it came from and I wanted to see it and make sure it was what I wanted first. The reason we drove 8 hours to visit Yvonne and Tom, was the design of the ring. I have never seen and continue to not see anything like it, even on the internet. In fact they have alot of ingenous designs. Another plus to making that trip was that my girlfriend was able to meet the designer of her ring. When you visit your local cookie cutter mall store you definitely don't get that experience. And with a piece of jewelry you are going to wear the rest of your life, it's pretty nice to know that such a wonderful person made it. So we finally arrived in St. Ignace which is unbelieveably beautiful. The sights alone were worth the trip. When I walked in Tom and Yvonne greeted me and showed me how to size a ring. Unsure of myself, Yvonne grabbed the tool to size and ent out to the car and sized my girlfriends finger. Then we looked at the different designs and carat sizes and figured out exactly what I wanted. After I said "That's it. Thats the right one." Yvonne pulled an already wrapped box out of the display case and opened it. There sat the exact design with the exact stone and the exact size that I wanted. She created the perfect ring for me based on only a few emails. The center stone needed to be an exact color and she also matched it exactly without even speaking to me. The next ste was to take care of business and I have to say I was beyond pleased with the price. They also made special arrangements for me to use my AMEX card, which they don't normally accept. I not only was able to charge the purchase but I got my points too! After we took care of business Yvonne pulled that specific line of jewelry out of the case and even removed giant framed pictures from the wall so my girlfreind could come in and see some of her work without giving away the ring. Tom and Yvonne spent two hours with us and at least one hour after they closed just showing us her designs and sharing stories and great information about the area. Susequently based on that visit we are already preparing to book a summer vacation to St. Ignace. I can tell you Yvonnes designs are just like Tom, one of a kind. They are all so beautiful and creative. We spent the trip home discussing how amazing a visit that was and how regardless of what the ring is she is so happy to know that her ring was made from someone so great. We definitely feel like we met some friends to visit next time we visit the U.P. and I can tell you I already have My girlfriends birthday present picked out.

  I love the very unique items they have. Lots of Michigan made jewelry as well. Wonderful owners and easy to find in beautiful downtown Saint Ignace.
