My daughter has gone to Pisgah for summer residence camp every year since 2012. She loves it! Often, at pickup, she asks if there's any way to stay longer. Her whole calendar revolves around when she gets to go to Pisgah!

The staff is well trained and organized. It's reassuring that a lot of the counselors come back summer after summer. They have an RN on site 24/7.

(As far as the comments about the facilities - keep in mind this is not a five star hotel, it's a Girl Scout Camp. The camp/plumbing is not brand new, and sometimes kids flush things they shouldn't and that can cause problems. My daughter has never complained about the facility being filthy. I have used the toilet there myself and it's what you would expect for a 50 year old summer camp.)

I went here for the 2016 Girl scout camp. It was very unsanitary and the bathrooms were just too dirty.

My girls (7 and 9 years old) had a great time at Camp Pisgah during the summer of 2014. The counselors were welcoming, funny and supportive, especially when my kids had issues. The camp was well organized and fun. My kids enjoyed it so much that they came back for the summer of 2015. My girls (and our family) are expats, and they made friends easily at camp without much if any US pop culture knowledge.

I was excited that my 12 year old was going to camp. I loved my experience. Too bad this camp was the opposite of what I experienced. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet overflowed. The kids were not allowed to bring snacks and the food served at meal time was limited. They complained about being hungry all the time. The counselors did nothing to integrate the new kids with those that had been there all summer. My daughter said they made only one friend. She cried every day and couldn't wait to get home. Really disappointing.
