This Place Sucks and to have all charges Dropped after falling asleep reading a book in a park makes me Question San Diego Police departments Credibility.

How you guys I have a quick question my husband is at the Bailey detention center and I live in Van nuys and I'm trying to get there on a bus because I have no car if anybody's going there by October 31st on that day I will give you guys good money for gas his getting out from there so i wanted to surprise him please

I know jail isn't suppose to be a picnic, and it's certainly not a vacation club. However I think any decent human would agree with me that if you are not able to keep yourself safe within your own rights because those rights have been forfeited; either temporally or for life, and your rights handed over to law enforcement, then it's what ever "law enforcements" duty to keep those individuals safe from harm. Officers do your goddamn job which I help pay you to do. I didn't vote to raise your salary so you can sit on your fat lazy ass and just watch as innocent bystandarders get abused under your command. You say its over crowded then raise concern to your leaders. Say something until they listen.
P.S. I've never had the pleasure to stay here. I don't plan on it either. But I've picked up my fair share of people and had to visit a few loved ones, once or twice.response / report this review -

There's always parking there's seating inside but the bathrooms are nasty and when you go visit whoever it is you're visiting the phones don't always work

Worst jail in San Diego (the thunderdome) fights and people being jumped left and right, no fair treatment, SD sheriff guards will take you out and bring you to solitary with no cameras and break your legs(I've seen all this first hand) politics. People who think they are better than anything and that their sheet dont stink. Worst jail other than riverside in California. Dont get arrested in San diego. Drive to orange county if your being chased Lol. Im glad im done with that part of my life

Oviously not a fun place to go.first time at this place to see my brother but it was a good visiting experience overall. The attendant at the visitor check in was very helpful and the guards were courteous on our way in to visit.
