Great locally sourced menu. Amazing whiskey and whisky selection. Reasonable lunch prices. Great sandwiches. Top shelf experience. Looking forward to drinking here. Great live music with Jason Quick.

Lovely white tablecloth restaurant in a nicely proportioned old brick building. Excellent take on an heirloom tomato salad. Produce and meats locally sourced, and herbs grown on the restaurant property. Balanced, accessible wine list with 5 good selections by the glass. On-point service. Great choice for a business dinner or an upscale night out.

For the effusive praise and glowing reviews this restaurant receives, I was expecting a lot better.
The positives first then: The staff was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable. The wine selection was superb and varied. And the desserts were a delight.
The glaring problems: The food is decidedly average and/or underwhelming. The fondue is served at fridge temperature, the bread was tooth-achingly hard, and the steak skewers were unappealingly bland and flavorless. Also, there is a limited menu. You'd think this would mean that each dish is painstakingly prepared and only of the highest quality. Based on the dishes received, I'm inclined to have serious doubts on the competency of the kitchen staff.
Lastly, the pricing is reflective of a mid-four star restaurant. What you receive is most assuredly not so. All style, no substance. An establishment that puts on airs and caters to a clientele that does as well. It may impress your date/friends to go here, but the quality simply does not match the veneer.response / report this review -

The food, oh so good. And the environment was so peaceful and upscale. We truly enjoyed our evening out and were stuffed leaving.

Steaks ordered as medium rare were done, and steaks ordered as medium well were almost rare. Maybe they just mixed them up, but they weren't the same cuts, so I'm not sure how that would happen. Maybe will try again some day.

Delicious food and a great selection of wines and beers. This is a very comfortable place with outstanding service. They make you feel like you're the most important person there. They even went down the street to get a bottle of wine that they were out of stock on.
