Pretty scenery but the wine and tasting room could use a overhaul. The dated and cold interior leave something to be desired.

Beautiful spot, but often times closed or rented out for special events, always call ahead otherwise you may end up driving an hour through the canyons only to be let it. Definitely recommend tating advantage of the outside patio area with a bottle of one of their whites

We were driving down from San Francisco to Santa Barbara and given that both Google and yelp listed the winery was open until 5, we decided to stop in for a tasting. Upon arriving at 4:40 we were told we could not do a tasting anymore. There were plenty of other wineries in the area that would have allowed us to taste at that time so we were very disappointed we stopped here. A big part of wine tasting is the ambiance and experience, and given our reception and the other reviewers' on yelp and Google it is apparent that Gainey doesn't realize that. So this will be our first and last stop here.

We visited Gainey Vineyard last week and we had a wonderful time. The tasting room is beautiful and we really enjoyed the wine tasting. They also have a variety of products to buy (i.e., olives, jellies, oils, etc.). The highlight for me was when they let us walk up and down the vineyards and taste the grapes off the vines. I would definitely go back!

We visited as guests of the Santa Ynez Inn ..(note as a guest you get complimentary tastings at several local vineyards) We had a choice of several nearby but chose Gainey because they opened first at 11am. Had no wait and no issues without having an appointment. The vineyard was picturesque and the staff were all friendly. We went to tasting room which was just beautiful and rustic. I tasted a total of 6 ..3 reds and 3 whites. My favorite was Patrick's reserve cab. I did purchase a bottle and joined their club. I can not wait for my first shipment. It was a wonderful experience to our visit to Santa Ynez.

We had a perfect day wine tasting for our Anniversary. The winery wagon ride tour was terrific with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. The employees were all pleasant and enjoyable company. I absolutely recommend visiting and hope that we get to visit again next we're in the area.

Amazing! This is one of the few wineries around the world where I love every wine they produce, which is so hard to find! The grounds are gorgeous. The tasting room is spectacular. The customer service is great. Thank you, Gainey!!!
