After a weekend in Detroit, we decided to stop in Port Huron before heading home across the border. Fuel Woodfire Grill was our stop and the experience was fairly reputable.
Pros:
Prompt service
An excellent array of sauces on the table
Well seasoned fries that were incredibly addictive
Good cornbread
Full rack of ribs provided a big portion
Great atmosphere in an excellent downtown location
Cons:
While the service was prompt, we had two separate servers and it got mildly confusing for them to keep track of us
Dressing for the Caesar salad was unmemorable
Was told Miller Lite was on tap only to receive bottles
Overall, Fuel Woodfire Grill was a fairly positive experience that I would be willing to revisit in the future.response / report this review -

Recently moved to Downtown PH, what a pleasant surprise to be neighbors with Fuel! Great Food, service, ambiance along with House specialties to die for ! Highly Recommended!

Busy peak hours. Street parking in city lot behind restaurant with entrance off lot. Booth and table seating. If good weather window wall opened. Atmosphere stylish. Staff friendly. Tried different items on menu but not satisfied with meal.

Great reuse of a couple of old brick store fronts in old downtown Port Huron very close to the Black River . Do try the spinach/ artichoke dip and fresh pita's , it's delicious. Salad and smoked prime rib were both very good . Probably not best choice for people watching salt intake , tasty , but the chef appears to use salt pretty liberally !

Service was good.food was excellent. Jalapeno Mac & cheese is phenomenal, just enough heat and delicious. Also got a burger that was cooked perfectly. Will definitely visit again when I am in the area.

I loved the building, food has always been really good especially the potato skins, ribs and burger. However, service is awful! I am sorry but when a restaurant has really good food, you need great service or the whole experience is a turn off. The staff was more concerned about themselves and not the customer. My family changed tables multiple times after they said we could sit wherever and then once we chose our spot they said they had that table reserved and did that for the next 2 tables. Don't give us the option to sit ourselves and then end up giving us a small table. We ended up moving to a booth after other customers left. Then to top it all off, they forgot to put in my father's order so his food came out 10 minutes after everyone else's ON FATHER"S DAY! After this experience, I will not go there again.

Awesome place! They smoke their own meats. The brisket and pulled pork are amazing. Everything is delicious. Great burgers. Cool atmosphere. Best place to eat in downtown Port Huron. Call ahead on weekends.

Fantastic BBQ - Smoked, Juicy, and great flavored sauces to compliment. I actually tried the Jalapeno Mac and Cheese, I am not typically a Jalapeno fan, but this was fantastic!!!

They ran out of pulled pork (at 6:30 on a Saturday night) and 9 out of the 12 people in our group ordered pulled pork. No manager came out to talk to us and they did not make any offer to compensate our group. Very poor customer service. Our group ordered pulled chicken and it was survived on toast that was soggy when it was served. Anyone who knows good BBQ will not be happy eating here.

Excellent food and even better prices, I absolutely love this place. If you find yourself in the Port Huron area I would definitely recommend eating there.
