I just had the worst possible experience I could have had at a grocery store. I went out of my way to come to this location today so that I would be able to personally thank the president of this company from my family to the Kroger family for how much he's helped me and how proud I am I own stock in his company. When I showed up I had two people Underneath Him in suits steer me clear of him. One of which I voiced I was a shareholder to and I would like just a moment of the president's time. Promptly after I had voiced that he immediately left the building and ended the conversation he was having with other suits. He obviously has no regard for any of his employees shareholders or customers that purchase things from his company. I'm selling all of my stock and I'll never set foot a Kroger store ever again.
Fry's marketplace is always clean and staff very nice. There's a great variety of goods. I go here with client who lives close by.
Ask Fry's grocery stores go in the valley, this one is my favorite. The store is organized in a way that makes sense (unlike ray & rural- why are you selling clothing? You're a grocery store!) and is usually very clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Only down side is the parking lot. Its laid out very strange and has a high potential for accidents due to surrounding businesses, many converging drive-thrus and drivers not paying attention.
This branch does not have cashiers until 7am. If you have produce, bulk foods, etc. You have to look up codes, enter codes, and weights, etc all while your trying to get to work. Saw staff hanging around the check out but no one to check you out. Why Can't we have a choice? I don't work for Fry's.
The Fry's on McClintock and Guadalupe was bright and well organized. Despite the heat outside, I enjoyed shopping there the best.
Very poor customer service! I was at the customer service desk standing there waiting patiently while an associate looks on and doesn't offer to help or even ask if I needed any assistance. I walked up to an employee named Tyler and asked if he could help me. He said he doesn't know the password to get into the cash register! He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. I was tired waiting so I left. Keep up the great work frys!! 👎
7/20 I called the deli and ordered a 6ft sub for morning pick up 7/22. My full name and call back number was provided. I arrived today to pick up my order and no order under my name could be found!!! So after answering several questions regarding my order, on when I called, who I spoke to, whether or not i called the right store, it was very obvious I was getting frustrated! That's when deli mgr Cathy stepped up as well employee Ester and provided me with my order and comped some potato salad as well for the inconvenience.. Now, this is some VIP service! Thanks Ladies....
You can find anything you want... at this Fry's. Clean, neat and well staffed. Prices well marked. Check your own self out, no waiting. Monday mid-day was my latest visit. Did I mention COOL? Good place to stop, especially when temps are wicked hot. ;)
This store has a good variety of food. You can find a selection of healthy or gluten free food, a selection of fruits and vegetables and a decent selection of other supplies you might need for your house.
Good prices and friendly staff. I always go here.
Quick and friendly. Well stocked regularly and never a long wait in line for checkout. NEVER CHOOSE WALMART OVER THIS STORE. You're just begging for a migraine.
The store itself is very nice and in a good location. The cahsier at the customer desk turned me completely off as I handed him cash in hand and he returned my change (which was cash) on the counter. I told him i felt that was very rude and asked if he could please place my change in my hand and he stated he does it to everyone. I said well sir that's rude and he was walking away.
At nearly 40 years old, this plaza isn't a sparkling new attraction to the neighborhood, and this Fry's isn't a ginormous and bustling mega-store. However the Plaza was remodeled a few years ago, and this Fry's did some spiffing-up as well.
It offers patrons more than just the bare essentials, but doesn't go overboard. It isles aren't quite as spacious as newer stores, and the lighting isn't as bright. The floors are clean and polished, but they don't have special tile inlays or a furniture section with custom wood flooring. What is does have is that warm familiar feeling you get from a place that's been in business for long time.
And like the surrounding neighborhoods, the store and the entire Plaza have matured well.
It's also the only grocery store in Tempe with a parking lot full of mature shade trees, which not only provides tons of shade during the summer, but also gives the Plaza it's unique charm.
