Real homemade food! Just like an english tearoom - even the scones with cream and lemon. Also quiche, soups, salads and sandwiches and a few other things. Dozens of teas to choose from (brewed-no tea bags here)

We used to make it part of our yearly trip to the U.P. We went to go there with 12 people and were told that they could not take that many people at once. The tea room was completely empty, so I suggested three tables of four. The woman that I dealt with was very rude and would not let us come for a tea. The teas we had before were always o.k. and the food was just o.k., but it was a cute atmosphere and it had become part of our family tradition. Very disappointing. We will never go back.

Love the atmosphere and hats. The food is mediocre. The bread bowl I got was 90% bread and very little soup, not hollowed out like it should be. Disappointing for the price. Tiny portions. The sweets tier has some tasty treats. You pay for the experience really. Good tea selection.

Houghton's hidden gem! A huge list of different teas to choose from & homemade lunches that make u feel decadent. There are old time hats that you are free to wear while there plus everyone gets their own Victorian style China tea cupno two are the same. Love this place!
