Very nice park we always stay at on our way down south. Nice area for dogs to run! Nice pool too. Laundry area and shower room is spotless.

It's a nice facility to take a break from the highway. Good, level pull through sites, some with cement pads. Big rigs are no problem. It's convenient to I-81 but far enough away so there's no highway noise.

Very pretty. Lush grass, blue Ridge mountains in the distance. Very friendly staff & helpful. Came with a picnic table and we had a lovely shade tree. Would recommend.

Very professional staff and very helpful. Clean facility. . After we made reservations, the staff changed our site to new site which was very thoughtful and more enjoyable. Highly recommend Fort Chiswell RV Park

Jeff, the owner is so very friendly. He really takes care of the park and makes sure the grass is always cut and ready for the next RV that pulls in and needs a spot. Has a pool- never got in- and Jeff makes sure it stays clean. The park is almost full every day! I think that should tell you how great Fort Chiswell is and how good Jeff runs the park. It's a very friendly place to stop.

Great place!
Extremely well kept campground! Pool looked wonderful, dog walk was nicely cut and winds over a babbling creek with poop bags provided, staff is friendly and checked me in in seconds, and the store is pretty well stocked. I left the best till last. The bathrooms and showers are huge, spotless, smell free and include piped in music. Sewer, cable, and working wifi. Great value. Only down side is, though there are nice shady trees, there's really not much privacy between sites. But definitely a great place to stay. Sitting here looking out at this gigantic Koi pond, seeing mountains in the distance, barns over the way, cows on every hillthis has to be the most peaceful place on earth. We've been in many RV parks, but I would gladly live here. The owners are very efficient and helpful.

The time shown was when I posted, not when I stayed here. I stayed the first weekend in April 2017.
I loved this place. I was only there overnight, but it was great for what I needed. The people were accommodating when I made the reservation. I knew I would arrive after the office was closed, so they left my name on a board with which spot I was to go to. It is located in the middle of farm land and we were surrounded by green pastures and cows. It was quiet. It looked like there are a lot of amenities and activities. Everything looked clean and neat. When I went in to pay in the morning the man was friendly. If I had a need to stay a few days this is a place I would enjoy being. It was very peaceful. The only negative was that, although the spot I parked was level, when I went to pull out of my spot I had to go uphill. For whatever reason it was steep enough that my wheels weren't catching and it took me 2-3 tries. I finally drove sort of lateral. If there had been campers next to me on the left I may have been in troublebut there weren't, so no harm/no foul.response / report this review -

A very peaceful place to be if you are stressed out. I love watching the cows next to the park on both sides. And the lake kind of gives it that extra serenity!

Easy in,easy out, close to interstate. Sitting in the farm hills of Virginia, beautiful setting. Very clean and large bathrooms as well as a nice soft cozy mat as you get out shower.

Nice level pull through sites. Nice clean large bathroom. Close to the highway but quiet. Open year round. We will return next time we pass through.
