  Hanna came to my home for a consultation. We had previously discussed changing our fireplace, lighting, adding built INS, paint etc. When she arrived, she gave me very little advice regarding our fireplace but was very concerned about our furniture (style and placement) and carpet (style and size). Even after explaining that we weren't interested in buying new furniture, since what we have is fairly new, she continued to make recommendations on new furniture, carpet and table lamps. She didn't know any codes regarding making fireplace changes. We moved on to briefly discuss our kitchen and powder room. She looked up lighting and vanities online, something I could have done on my own. She couldn't answer questions about things I would have expected her to be familiar with. I was very disappointed and feel that she had her interests in mindnot ours.

  When making a "quality of life move" to Exeter from across the state, we knew that we would need to start over with our furnishings and overall style. Robin and Hanna helped us discover what we wanted by presenting us many options, challenging us to consider things we could never think of, and then assuring us that our selections would work. Through challenging times, with labor shortages and supply chain issues, the F&A team kept installations orderly and communications clear. We love our new home and recommend Hanna and Robin highly to anyone looking for finishing touches, a place to begin, or anywhere in between.

  I worked with Hanna from F + A to redesign our guest room/home gym into a full-time WFH office space (that had to include our Peloton!). From start to finish, Hanna made the project fun, easy and provided great direction. Given the project was much smaller than some of their other interior design projects, I'm grateful for the time, expertise and creative visionI love my new office and every time I walk into the room I feel calm, happy and love what Forest + Ash came up with. Excited to work with them on future projects (and they are one of my favorite local shopseverything is gorgeous). Thank you!

  Forest + Ash Shop is a unique gift and houseware shop located on the East-side of the main Exeter Downtown Parking Lot. They have a wide range of items you would never find at a big-box store. Many items are hand-crafted, limit-run manufacture or made of natural materials. See photos
