Their salesman will completely lie to you to make the sale. Payments are higher than stated and higher than my electric bill ever was. He lied about a tax rebate we could put toward paying the panels off. Could not get a hold of anyone to cancel in time. Very predatory and shady practices and I've seen others post the same issues in my area.

I decided to work with local company to support local businesses. This was the biggest mistake!!!
This project started July of 2019 and is still not finished. They have made mistake in designing, last minute asking me to cut tress, installing the panels wrong place under the trees, costing me over $1600 in 2019 tax credits, forgetting the finance paper work, not delivering the power the told me, and now that I am stuck with them I decided to add more panels and havent heard back in months!!!!

Sun First do top quality work and provide excellent customer service. They do everything needed to get solar panels on your home including the permitting process which can be a headache. Although we had some delays in our project Sun First compensated us by not charging for extra work that needed to be done. Their main engineer Kipp is amazing- very knowledgeable, great attention to detail and goes out of his way to explain things and make sure you're happy.

I hired them to do a roof-top solar installation and the process started out great. Their estimator was straightforward and we quickly came to terms on what few negotiable items there are on a solar installation. And then I heard nothing for months. And then they were ready to go; and oh, by the way, here are the drawings that we forgot to discuss with you and the conduit routes that we didn't really think about, etc, etc,
I still don't have a functional monitoring system. I am still paying PG&E every month for electricity. I am still doubting why I chose this company.
Repeated emails have gone unanswered and I can tell that since the basic install is over and they have 80% of my money, that they no longer care about finishing this installation.

The workmanship was great on the panel installation and electrical work, but nearly every other part of the process has been terrible.

Brilliant every step of the way! I waited 6 years to find a solar company whose integrity was absolute, who designed the only system that met all of my energy needs, and also had the best looking panels and installation system on the market. Most important to me, it was their own staff that installed it, handled permits and electricity issues, resolved existing thermal solar relocation AND each and every person that came to my home was open, kind, expert, going above and beyond expectations to be sure I was satisfied. There may be cheaper ways to install some less efficient solar, but for a comprehensive solution with the longest warranty, I don't think you'll find a better value, kilowatt for kilowatt than Sun First! This is a solar company you can trust.
