Dr. Mehta is awesome. If you come prepared to your appointment, do your homework, and be proactive with your condition and treatment options, you'll get along just fine with him. I suspect some of the bad reviews are from addicts looking for some easy drugs; Dr. Mehta wouldn't give it to them, so they're mad.

Was referred here, to Dr Mehta by another great doctor, who has been our family physician for decades so I knew I was in good hands. Dr Mehta is great if you are willing to follow the rules. I'm sure they've heard it all in his business so he just cuts to the chase. I personally like his bluntness, not to mention how his staff treats me. They have great service and I have been here for years and hopefully nothing changes.
I was forced to go to another doctor for a few months but I did my research and did what I needed to do so I could be treated by this friendly and professional office. Dr Mehta is fair and some might consider him rude but there are rules he has to follow and I don't see why he has to beat around the bush.

Just came from my first visit with dr Mehta he was very nice, however I felt as if he did not listen and continuously cut me off as I was trying to talk like many pain dr here in Los Angeles. I explained my medical history and medication in depth. Though my main goal Has always been for management of my pain safely and restoration of my quality of life, he has given me no way of detoxing safely, from the narcotics that I have been taking for over 2 years now. Instead he has given me medications that make me sick and one that is not good for diabetics all together. I refused physical therapy since I went through months of agony and it got me no where but excruciating pain. I was then told to co tact all the physical therapy places I have been to to get my record. I am guessing they are nit Very knowledgeable on This matter. But yes let me call the out of state offices and explain that my new pain drs office cannot do their job and get these documents themselves. I have two small kids and mobility is imperative for me. So thank you dr Mehta. I can see why all your reviews have been so bad. This experience is making me think of moving back out of state to get injections that I need to live a somewhat active life with my toddlers.

Dr. Mehta helped me wean off of pain medication, in a professional manner. Something other Doctor's could never do. He came and visited me in person everyday at the hospital, Monday through Saturday and made sure I was comfortable. This is a truly compassionate being not just a Doctor but a person. And what I mean by that is unlike all other specialist that I have been to. I was able to be honest with Mehta and tell him that I had an addiction from being on pain medication for sometime. Most Dr's will cut you off of all pain medications, Mehta slowly weaned me off in a manner that I was comfortable with. Thank you, Mehta!!! I will never go to another place other than Foothills Clinic.
