Enjoyed the Carnitas Fonda (Cast iron skillet braised pork shoulder, salsa verde, pickled poblano peppers, charro beans and tortillas to build your own tacos) and Key Lime Pie. Small intimate and cozy restaurant . Their margaritas are good as well.
One of the best restaurants in Park Slope. Superb kitchen, comfortable room, great service.
Love the chillaquulles! Guac and chips are good too. I suggest doing the brunch combo which comes with a breakfast platter and endless cocktails.
Great food and friendly service. The salad was fresh and bright and delicious. Fish tacos were awesome.
This bar gets crowded very quickly as soon as 4pm comes around for happy hour. If you get a seat or its a lite traffic day consider yourself lucky! The drinks are very well made & excellent bartenders. This place is pricey for dinner, but the happy hour & brunch are fantastic. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable, & provides great service.
This is the best mexican place for miles in every direction. GREAT drinks and good food. Worth a try.
Great happy hour! The best gaucamole!Love the bartender. MY go to neighborhood spot!
Park Slope doesn't have a ton of options for great Mexican food and while Fonda is solid, it's not exceptional. The menu is definitely way more thoughtful and authentic than most, but dinner for two can easily get pricey.
Recently, all of the dishes seem to be a little heavy-handed on sauces. They could use a slightly lighter touch so that you don't leave feeling weighed down.
Their all you can drink brunch is a good deal though and it's a fun, lively atmosphere.
First: TOO much salt in everything, especially the chips with guacamole. Food also overly salted and quite noticeablebut the margaritas were great (even salt rimmed). Without the thought of salt, food was quite
good. Had the verde posole which was tassty and excellent! Others had edible food but also complained of salt. Most likely not returning for other meals.
Wonderful place. Great staff, very professional and very friendly.
The food is simply amazing. The service is good, prices are okay. Peak times you should expect some wait but at least you will have some more time to taste their great margaritas :) Try the spicy one if you dare.
Great food. It is not taco stand Mexican (My fave) but it is very good/high quality.
Very good salad, perfect skirt stake (medium rate), flan is so-so. Santa Fe grill has it better. Overall very good.
