Flipside is the essence of good, local business. One of the owners, Krista, has helped me with countless transactions; on separate occasions, a board, bindings, and all kinds of assorted accessories including a kit so I could wax my own deck.
After I had come in for the third wax job (the first was free since I bought my deck there), Krista suggested I but my own iron. She helped me pick out something basic that didn't wreck my wallet, and then took the time to teach me how to it use it. It's already paid for itself ten times over.
The rest of the staff is great as well. Stopped in today to pick up some goodies for xmas and the guy behind the counter took great care of me.
This is a local shop you should support. If you're a snowboarder or skateboarder, this is your spot.response / report this review -

Bought a long board for my grandson, didn't try to over sell , love this place, incredibly knowledgeable, great prices , did not want to by online, wanted to touch and feel , good to support local business!!!

Bought a complete here last month. got a great deal on an awesome board. Krista and Evan are always happy to help me, answer questions, share knowledge or tools, and chat. Though they sell a great selection of snowboard equipment I can't say I know a thing about that. But if you want to put your money into a great local business and support some genuinely nice people check out flipside!

Came in and Evan was super nice to us! He didn't hastle us to buy anything and was more of a friend than a sales person. Shook my hand and we talked about life and skating and got along. Gave us a free sticker for being so cool with our purchase. Definitely recommend this shop over any other skate shop!! Friendly and not a messy store! I love this place!! Thanks Evan!

I went into this shop just to inquire about a board to cruise around on. I was helped by Krista and a gentleman (whose name i unfortunately forgot ooos) who were very welcoming and knowledgeable. I didn't know anything about boards and they didn't make me feel bad about it- I felt very comfortable and taken care of. They took their time with me, let me try out a bunch of different boards and styles. I left with an awesome board at what I felt was a very reasonable price! I highly recommend this place, you'll totally leave happy!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, which is rare for a skate shop. Best skate shop in Asheville, in my opinion.
