If your looking for a loan for anything , I would suggest skipping this credit union. I tried to make a payment early and you would think I was asking them to turn water into wine. There was no easy way to pay unless you set up an account with them, or pay a fee over the phone. Even the online pay cost you an extra $5 to make. THIS credit union needs to catch up with technology, the inconvenience just isn't worth it. Never using them again, EVER. I'm currently looking at just refinancing to CHASE which is where I should have went to begin with.

First off let me start by saying I used to work for a bank. I thought I knew the process to follow if you had a problem with a manager or a branch location. I opened my account in 2010 was told that I there were no fees associated with my account as long as I maintained a $ 50 balance on the account. I had more than $50.00 in my account consistently. The credit union changed the policy regarding my type of account; however, I never got a commnication regarding the change. Nothing by post, email or telephone. My account was charged a "relationship" fee for several months, but I did not know this because I never received any communication. When i realized it, I tried to communicate with the manager Ms. Jeanette (Sam) Long what had occurred, and she said she couldn't do anything for me because I should have received a notice of the change by post. Again, this was a savings account and neither I nor the co-owner of the account ever received anything and we explained that, but Ms. Long would only offer me $10.00 of my money. I told her if the fees were refunded I would have brought the account to the new standards but was denied that opportunity to do so. Even if she could not refund fees herself she had to opportunity to salvage two relationships between 1st service and us by contacting someone above her on our behalf. She refused to even attempt that. I closed my account and tried calling customer service and was told that the only way to deal with my grevances was to talk to the same manager that declined to help me. I asked for the CEO or CFO and was told no only managers can deal with my problem. I took that to mean that regular customers issues are not important enough for upper management to bother with. By refusing to even try to help us, 1st service management made us feel ignored. By insisting that we had to have gotten notice of the changes when we both insisted we had not management in essence called us liars to our faces. We are not rich but we are the exact type of customer most banks/credit unions would like to have. Because there was no attempt to salvage the relationship 1st service lost far more money in future business than they would have lost by refunding their ill-gotten fees.
