I used to come here a long time ago and everything was excellent. The past several times I've been it has been disappointing. The food was sub par and they had a bunch of stuff scratched out on the menu. The service was still great but in my opinion the food wasn't worth the 45 minute drive. I won't be back anytime soon.

Very rustic and a little spooky to get to, but great food and service. Ordered fried catfish 3 pc. Good portion and price.

My waitress was friendly, attentive and expeditious. The food order was okay, and the portions were sufficient. Not much menu selection and the deer, hog and moose heads on every wall were a little creepy for a "FISH camp". The coleslaw was excellent (I like it sweet like theirs, and this had lots of onions too). I ordered the 5pc. Catfish platter, a fried oyster platter and fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and lemoncello cake (yum!) for dessert. If you don't like fried foods, you might want to pass on this restaurant. This place was recommended to me by my friend for the catfish dinner.

Ezells is inconsistently good. On our latest visit, over half the menu was unavailable. When you order shrimp, you must specify that you do not want popcorn, or else that's what you get whether fried or grilled. I've had great meals there before, but this latest visit left me disappointed and unsure if they can continue to deliver the quality and variety like they used to.

Drove 50 miles but very worth it. RVing over at Miller's Ferry Campground and from S C, we asked neighbor about catfish restaurants. They recommended Ezells. Everything very good and big portions. Jennifer went overboard down to bringing us thin slices of cheesecake as sample along with coffee. We told her we were stuffed and would take for later. Very reasonable prices.

Food was great and service was great. Felt as if no AC, hot environment. Lady at check out was not the least bit pleasant. I was told by local she was the owner. Well guess she has enough business not to appreciate mine

Great food and great service! Their coleslaw is the standard by which all others are measured. Love this historic landmark restaurant!

I have to say I really enjoyed this place. I got the 16oz Ribeye and it was great. Our drinks were never empty and try the Cole slaw, it's world famous..

Nice country atmosphere with southern hospitality. We had a great time
All of the food was great. The seafood platter is spectacular. Shrimp and grits was the best I have ever had. Great time!

Everyone was really nice. However, we had to ask to get our glasses filled and anytime we needed something -we were one of the few customers in the place. I ordered the shrimp and grits and paid way too much for it. It was icy cold, and had a layer of grease on the top, and it had onions, peppers and sausage in it
They really need a detailed menu with those sort of things listed because I never would have ordered that since I am currently trying to loose weight. I haven't been there in several years and was very disappointed in how badly this place has gone down.

Absolutely worth the trip. The food is amazing, but the environment is what makes this place stand out. The staff are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet, true southern hospitality. Lookup the history behind this institution, it makes the visit all the more special.

Was fine dining years ago. Now not so great. They tend to overcharge you if you order it to go. Then they usually don't try to correct their mistake. The food is OK for the most part.

My wife and I had an evening meal there on 11/8/14 around 3:00 pm. After returning to Laurel, MS two hours later that evening, we both developed severe food poising from either the coleslaw or catfish. Because we were so sick we could not return home on 11/9/14 as planed and had to extend our stay by one day. This computed to an extra day of motel expense and a lost day of work on 11/10/14. Needless to say we would never recommend eating here to anyone. Was a bad and expensive experience considering everything. The help was very nice but don't risk the chance of food poising. It was NOT good!
