I've been using Express Scripts for 3 years and everything was working fine ----- until it wasn't. I've been taking the same cancer drug nightly for the past 8 years; a pretty important part of my life. My annual prescription is current and I received my first 90 day supply of my new prescription from Express Scripts without any delay. The following supply never came. I called Express Scripts on the morning of Friday 12/30/2016 to let them know hadn't received the refill. I found the representative rather incompetent. I was told that the prescription was not set up on auto refill and that they had FAXED a doctor that I had used several years ago in another town and had not heard back. This is not the doctor on my current prescription. My impression was that the representative was making up a story as she went, trying to pin the fault on the doctor and not taking responsibility for their error.
Here is where it gets worse: I asked the representative if she would please call the prescription into a local pharmacy and she responded with offering to have the prescription express shipped and I would receive it within 12 to 24 hours. That would mean going only 1 day without my meds which I was willing to do. We even discussed the New Year's holiday mailing schedule. Here it is 1/4/2017, 6 days later, and THIS MORNING I received an email that the prescription was SHIPPED on 1/3/2017. Because of this error, I will go 5 days without my medicine -- totally unacceptable.
The excuse that the prescription was not placed on auto refill doesn't reconcile: If this really was the problem (which I doubt) why wasn't I notified that I'd have to start reordering, why have I never had to reorder this med before (3 years of receiving it automatically), and why wouldn't all 12 month scripts be placed on auto refill;?
I'm frustrated and angry. I will move all my family's meds to a local pharmacy.
This is the absolutely worst company to deal with. I previously worked with CVS Caremark for years and NEVER had an issue getting my $5000 a month medication. I have worked with this company for just a few months and every month they have delivered my medication late. Unfortunately I am unable to switch due to my insurance but if you can avoid this company I would highly recommend that or be prepared for a terrible experience.
If you're writing a review in order to get your prescription drugs, that's on you.
If I could give them 0 stars I would
They sent my prescription to my old address (which is 5 hours away from my new address) AFTER I had already told them to send it to my new address. Then I had to pay $30 for them to send it again. I paid the $30 and, of course, never received my medication. I called again to find out it was NEVER even shipped They had no problem making me pay for it but didn't even bother to ship it. To make amends they were going to expedite it to me so that I could receive it in the next 1-3 days. Now here I am, 4 days later, writing a review because I still have not received my medication Do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with these people.
I have NEVER had such horrible service with mail order prescriptions. Just a small sample of issues that I have had with them:
1) Excessive delays in processing, handling, filling and shipping meds
2) Multiple cases where they claim to have faxed my doctor requests for clarification on a prescription with no response from the doctor. When I called my doctor, they told me that they have not heard from Express Scripts
3) Express Scripts FAXES requests for info to the Dr. Is this 1990??? They do not call or email even after 6 days of no response!! UNBELIEVABLE..
4) Their customer service staff is completely unhelpful. All you will get is a verbal repetition of whatever email message you receive. No Explanation, No solution, nothing.
If your company is talking to these people RUN or better yet, find a more progressive company to work for. This is a purely cost savings contractor that serves the needs for reduction costs in HR. They do not have any concern for the patient.
