We celebrated a milestone birthday on Saturday with 21 family members. The evening started with cocktails in the charming seating area of the enclosed front porch of this beautiful historic home. We then proceeded to our private dining area that was arranged perfectly for our group which included 4 children under 8 years old. Our servers were attentive to all of our needs and the food was mouth watering fantastic! We felt so comfortable that it almost felt as if we were dining at a friend's home. It is apparent that Yana Lee-Fong and Chef Omar Powell know exactly how create great food and a welcoming atmosphere so that their guests feel valued.

This is an excellent place for a night out. It is maybe a little on the pricey side, but the food is worth it. Had read some reviews about poor service, but that was not my experience at all. We had excellent service and the food was top notch.

The service was excellent and the food was 5 star. Great ambiance. If you want to impress someone it's wonderful for a first date, or anniversary. It's nice to know you don't have to drive to Atlanta to get a 5 star meal.

Loved the trio of dips. My husband doesn't like hummus but he couldn't stop eating it. The shrimp and grits were great, too. The coconut curry sauce on the shrimp was unusual but in a really good way. The grits were smooth and creamy. And save room for dessert. We give it 5 wows. Chef Omar has a gift.

We love this restaurant. Service and food is always outstanding. Love the duck confit pasta and the shrimp and grits. Every time I have had a special it has been outstanding. We come here often.

Pleasant place. Friendly service.butkitchen was slow on getting food to the table. Salmon with spinach and roasted sweet potatoes was very good. This was a lunch visit on a Friday.

Food is great. Speed is slow. I tried this place on recommendation of a co-worker. It is nestled in downtown Duluth. It is very quaint. I love the setting. It looks like it used to be a home. There was a couple of things on the menu that I wanted to try. I had a grilled chicken wrap. It was absolutely delectable. The waiter I had was really nice and help with giving suggestions on what to eat and what to pair it with. I will definitely return.

4 star food, 1 star speed. When we arrived on a quiet Thursday night, we were warned it would be a 20 minute wait "for the kitchen to catch up" no problem we'll just have some drinks on the very empty patio. 40 minutes later our food order was taken, it took an additional 35 minutes for our salads (alright) and then 25 minutes more for our entrees (good). Had the food been in a more timely manner it would have been 4 star. However it's unacceptable to arrive at 7:20 pm on a weeknight to a mostly empty restaurant and not even get our check until after 9:45 pm, with the food having been delivered at 9:15pm.

This was such a great experience! My husband is an amazing cook so we don't go out much because usually we are better off eating at home. This was the perfect night out with fantastic servers and unbelievable food. My husband got a photo of his lamb which was great but unfortunately all I had a moment to catch of mine was the empty plate. I had the Duck pasta and it was incredible. Absolutely amazing!
We got an unexpected last minute night away from the kids and went north instead of heading in town and couldn't be happier to have found this gem so close to home. Can't wait to come back!response / report this review -

The food is awesome, I really enjoyed it. I had the salmon yesterday with roasted sweet potatoes and sauteed spinach, with white wine sauce. This was superb and I don't usually use words like that. The service is Great, and you are always a little surprised at which of the small rooms in the Historic House that you will dine in. It is always pleasant. I am thinking of going back to back today as well.
