We stayed there this week and everything was fantastic. The room was very cute. Clean, quiet and cozy. The food was excellent. I would say hands down best food in town. I would highly recommend this place. No complaints.
Although I prefer cute places like this. I don't like "commercial" or "big name" hotels.
Yep, sure did berate your "employees" one claimed to be the owner. But had zero professional tack, much like your media relations person. Can't believe it is so difficult to tell small children "sorry there's no public restrooms here" even on the busiest day of the season. But rather tell them that they are out of order, but with a little dontion could get fixed a little quicker. Then when confronted by the mother they snicker at what she relayed t them and then they call her children liars. To which only served to anger the mother further to which she responded by telling them to take their toilets and shove them up their a$$ and stormed out. A clear sign of anger and frustration from being treated with such extreme disrespect, not a lack of class, trust me I have So much more than you clearly have. It is evident your lack of education in customer service tactics, that will be your own undoing in your profession. Oh and I don't have to eat your cheap bar food to rate you based on my limited experience with your rude staff.
Horrible experience here. They did not have enough food and we waited over an hour for our breakfast. When we finally received it (only some of us) it was cold or not fully cooked. Waiting that long and only got one coffee refill and we were the only guests there! When we asked to speak to the manager he was very rude and tried blaming us for the reason they were unprepared to serve us our meals or coffee. He yelled and it was just a horrible horrible place and experience. We were there for a trip to visit my husband's father who was diagnosed with cancer and just wanted a nice place to visit with him and have a meal.. after driving over 3 hours to meet him.. Horrible. Horrible service and management.
The Embers Inn was nicely decorated and the rooms were clean. The beds were comfortably firm as well. If you happen to get a room in the front, they have a nice view of the lake. It is obvious that it is an old hotel that has been updated and still has some holes to be filled in the walls and older fixtures. The water in the shower was either really hot or really coldtough to find a happy medium. The room is pretty bare bones, just two beds, a nightstand between and an entertainment center. Overall though it was a great place to stop for a night on our way.
Stopped in here to get some beers appetizers and pizza. Their Pizza is really good. Their appetizers are basic bar food, you know deep fried stuff that taste funky. We got clam strips and the cocktail sauce that it came with was like a gelatin very weird. This place is extremely empty and not a lot of people are working there. The employees are very nice, and they were very attentive to our needs. This is a good spot to stop in if you are in town.
Our server was friendly and helpful but we were pretty disappointed by the food. I had read reviews by others who spoke highly of the new BBQ menu so we decided to order from it. A half slab of ribs for my husband, and the baked mac and cheese with brisket for me. The ribs looked extremely dry and the cole slaw that was supposed to accompany them was nowhere to be found. The brisket was almost all fat and instead of homemade baked mac and cheese, I was served what appeared to be Kraft dinner. We waited almost an hour for our order to come out and by then it was too late to leave and start over somewhere else, so we went ahead and ate it. It didn't taste bad, just mediocre and it wasn't what we expected or what was described in the menu. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he informed us that the cook was having a bad night. I'm not unsympathetic to that, these things happen, however, no discount was offered and I find it very unfair to have to pay the same price for a below average meal that someone else would pay for an excellent meal when the chef has a good night. We most likely would not visit this restaurant again.
Great room, simple and comfortable, clean and nicely decorated with a coastal style. Great value. Enjoyed breakfast as well. Would definitely stay again!
Food was good and homemade. Buffet was good. The pasta sat there a little too long but otherwise everything was very good. We had an excellent waiter!! I'll definitely go back!
Stopped here for a late dinner (9:15 they closed at 10). after a show. Although they were less than an hour from closing ALL the staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating. Great fish whitefish sandwich and Reuben. If back in the area we would try again for a meal.
I absolutely love this place! I had heard the rooms were recently renovated so I was excited to see the improvements. I was not disappointed at all. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the room heated up quickly. The menu from the restaurant was small due to it being off season but the food was still amazing! The service was quick, friendly and the food was hot when it arrived at the table. I also want to give a huge shout out to the manager Kevin. He was absolutely amazing! He was super friendly, very attentive and really cared about the guests at the Inn. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Kevin and Tony Boom for this amazing stay. You both have done a wonderful job here. Can't wait to come stay again! This Inn is a hidden gem for sure. You will not be disappointed!
