I have been emailing and calling them for the last 3 months now regarding my degree certificate.it was supposed to have arrived from Spain and I am to go &
collect it. Apparently they only can send it to the embassy. If only they knew how inefficient the whole system is, specially w an embassy that does not respond to your requests.Three months of mails& calls and I am yet to hear anything from them.response / report this review -

Keep emailing to make appointment to visit the embassy. No response no email back and its been 2 weeks since they have take the time to write back.

I will give everyone 5 stars today as they all were very nice, professional and cordial which is not a typical thing for Spaniards (no offense) 🤣
The guard at the entrance was nice to let us in and explain their COVID protocols, and the lady behind the counter who assisted us with the paperwork was very thorough, nice and professional (no attitude this time 🤭) and explained to us all of the things we needed to do, where to go and what to get to make sure that we have everything.

Eva was extremely helpful and patient with us. We got our visas in less than 3 weeks. Best advice I can give you is have your paperwork all straight and it will go smoothly.

After looking at the reviews I definitely didn't know what to expect. I showed up from out of state and did a walk in (they don't do appointments) and it took me less than 10 mins to complete the whole process. When I walked in there were guards who were friendly and directed me and once I got in, there were only a few ppl in there and some ppl even sitting on the steps filling out the application right there. I didn't know if I was going to be in there for an hour with rude ppl or what. But the ppl were very nice and lenient with me not having 2 copies of things (I only had 1 copy of everything,. Oops) but the lady made copies of whatever papers they needed there for me. She explained any clarifications multiple times if I needed (because I like to be sure!) They also provide you with the application (and other papers) for you to fill out there if you didn't already print them off. I was missing one form off my police report and they accepted my application and told me to just get that extra form signed by my hometown police and to mail it back to the embassy to complete my application. They definitely don't pick up their phones as much as they should, or at all.. But besides that they are very friendly and understanding workers. I'm sure others have had different experiences but that was mine. Hope it's found helpful !

Very friendly and helpful. Provided links to provide information I would need before arriving. Was in and out in 5 minutes! Applied for my daughters student Visa. She'll have to go back but that's only because she couldn't leave her passport to have mailed back. Needed for other travels.

The people who worked there were rude and horrible. They tried to rush through my questions, and I wasn't getting my questions answered so I kept asking for help. They instead used profanity in Spanish in front of me, and thought I didn't understand. But I could understand. HORRIBLE!

Answered one time out of 100 calls and told me to call the consulate, who then didnt pick up the phone as usual or respond to my emails. Its making it near impossible to get anything done

No personal service, you get redirected to a automated response. If you have a question you have to send an email! They only receive phone calls from 0900 - 1100, I've been calling since 0900 (now 10:28) and no one picks up the phone. This is TERRIBLE service, what is the purpose of an embassy that does not engage with the public? What are the employees actually doing, I wonder?

Spanish Embassy employee was rude beyond belief when I inquired about applying for a NIE number; blew me off and said I can't help you we only deal with people that live in the WA DC area, sorry good bye. The Consulate in LA never picks up the phone so that is a dead end toowondering how they get anything done. It reflects very badly on the nation of Spain if they treat you in this manner. Will go to Portugal instead, thank you!

Unbelievable! I got a fellow on the phone and he would answer one simple question. I wish I can convince my daughter to go study in Mexico instead of Spain. If their embassy and consulate treat us like this here, how do they treat people their??????
