Elk springs is a wonderful fishing destination. The lodge accommodations are perfect. With it being directly on the elk river, it's never a far walk to get on to fish.

Don't come here unless you are an experienced fly fisherman. Staff is generally dismissive and not helpful.

My fourth trip? Maybe fifth? Great folks, fantastic cabins or and camping, wonderful fishing, private, quiet, one small spot provides very little cell signal which is outstanding, the river runs through it, restaurant ain't bad, very nice orvis fly shop with knowledgable, friendly sales people. Take wife and girl friend, leave the kids at home or Not, It's Not Trump Plaza "it's better". !!!!!!!!

The areas services aren't great (e.g. cell signal), but the resort has great skiing.
