I grew up skiing here and loved Eldora but after recent trips to other skii areas I have started to notice things that I don't like as much. They obsessively scan passes even on the back side lifts. The chairs seem to stop really often and the back side lifts are pretty slow. That being said the skiing is great!

Of course this time of year you can expect ice and slush. Well I was not disappointed on that front. First off I got to park in the front row. Walked to the lift which had zero line all day. Made 11 runs by noon. That new 6 pack high speed lift is great unless you need time to rest I did hit a slush spot and crash. The hamburgers suck. All in all it was a great day. I'm going back next season.

Got lucky when we went skiing. Mother nature dumped 7 inches of fresh powder. Even though the resort was short staffed they did a great job if accommodating the patrons. This year they added an new lift which holds 6 skiers. It is really fast getting up to the summit. They also increased their freestyle area. The Woodward area had some great rails and jumps. There is three levels so skiers or boarders at anyevel can try it out.

Eldora is great!

Excellent free parking options right up to the lift. They have a section for beginner terrain that segregates beginners and experts. A fantastic place to learn without a fear of high speed skiers/boarders intermixing.

The views (I'm a sucker for a view) are fantastic featuring different view aspects than the Summit County terrain. Some nice lakes to see (pictured)!

Lifts are pretty moderate speed but Eldora is a locals gem. The terrain off the main and one lift over will get you great blues both steep and medium. One more over and you start hitting a variety of steep black runs that are open and fantastic. The runs aren't extreme length or duration but without the huge lift lines you can really jam.

I had a wonderful time in summer like temps without it having snowed for at least a week, to put it in perspective. I can only imagine what it'd be like if we had a real winter this season.

This was our first time skiing at a more local mountain spot. They have a new high speed 6 person chairlift that gets you to the top of the mountain pretty quick. They have some nice groomed trails. There is also some good tree riding for the more experienced skier/boarder. Nice terrain park as well. Head up to the Lookout for some nice views.

Best place to ski in Colorado for out of towners that ski only a couple times a year. Great schools for kids, inexpensive ski school packages and kids really liked Woodward school in 2016. Will be back in December.

Great place to start if you're just learning skiing. I stayed on the bunny hill but I'm sure there are great slopes for higher levels too

The runs are perfect for both a new skier and a seasoned skier. The runs are not crowded. The lifts are easy to get on and off. Prices are steep but so low and reasonable compared to more "upscale" resorts. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Little to no good beginner trail. Not family friendly AT ALL! MUD MUD everywhere. With season pass prices similar to other resorts, it is amazing that parking lot(s) are still unpaved. Not least bit responsive to pass-holders' comments, requests or recommendations. Most lifts are closed during the week.

Great snow, well groomed runs, friendly staff. The Woodward ski school is great for kids. Only negative was slow service at the Timber Lodge for lunch. It would be better if they had some basic stuff like pizza, fries, hot dogs, etc. ready to serve immediately during lunch hour.

They do a great job with the snow here. The drive up the canyon is beautiful. The food is improving (the coffee is not). The lifts are relaxing and you get to share them with your neighbors. I ski in Summit and Eagle counties a lot and this is not a lesser experience. Check the weather forecast, windy days can be unfun.

Great for skipping I-70 traffic. Just checked this mountain out because I was sick of dealing with I-70 and I was very pleased. It's a small mountain, but it has some great terrain and service. The Lodge at the top of Corona is awesome. Great little place.

You can ski here without struggling with I-70. That alone is enough, but the skiing here is often really nice, as well. It's sometimes windy and sometimes a little icy, but sometimes there's really nice powder, too. Sure, it's not the king of Colorado ski resorts, but it's way better than everywhere I grew up skiing at in WV, OH, and western PA. It's all relative.

It's a small resort and on weekends, holidays, and powder days the lot fills fast. Sometimes vehicles are stopped at the high school to wait for spots to open up. Either leave home really early, carpool, or take RTD (the N bus serves the mountain).

Eldora is worth your time.
