Nice appetizers, music and service. Main course not to expectations but maybe my choice (shrimp of some sort) wasn't the best.
Delicious Cuban food, and what I suspect is a true representation of Cuban temperament when management was squawking at staff, he did not extend the squawking to the customer. Service was good and sangria was better. Great location too. This is a lucky place.
One of the best Cuban Sandwiches on the island! The view is amazing, right at Malory Square. Live music most nights. The bar is great as well. This is always our first stop for "ceremonial" Mojitos, Conch Fritters, and Cubans.
Amazing Cuban food!!! Great seasoning and taste. Very delicious cocktails and drinks. Good portions, very filling, nice spot for a good night outing. Live music was awesome. I recommend it if you like an outside live music atmosphere for food.
Wonderful entertainment, music, dancing & of course a spectacular sunset at the end of every day. VERY Good Pub style food is available as well as more substantial Cuban dinner items. You'll be pleased, enjoy.
Our host for the evening Jose was amazing. He provided good and fun conversation, made sure we were taken care of, and made us feel like the most important guests in the place. The appetizer consisting of plantain chips, chorizo, and fried cheese (forgot name) was amazing. The Key West Style Cuban Sandwich was equally as good. Thank you Jose!
To the Owner, make fried cheese a side dish people will buy it!!
From the time I walked in, the atmosphere was very authentic and quaint. The service was a tad bit slow but the music was great as well as the food. I would recommend the Vaca Frita as well as the yellow rice and beans to go with. There were some staff that were standing around and I felt that maybe they would've helped our meals get out faster, but that's fine. The price is mid ranged, definitely don't take the family here on a golden coral budget. Cassey was my server.
Let me start this off by saying that you come at least once. There are chickens that roam outside (as this is key West), the musical entertainment outside is top notch. This place is fairly busy come before the sunsets because the Mallory square crowd will arrive shortly after sunset. Options for inside, outside or bar. Food is okay, there are better Cuban places on this island but the ambience is what you come here for. Enjoy!
Awesome authentic Cuban cuisine. Great service. Cool setting.
What a poor place to eat. Popped in for lunch. Place was not busy but service was slow. Steak sandwich was terrible. Small thin piece of overdone meat that looked and tasted like leather. The rest was dry and tasteless. Couple of bites and could not eat anymore. Didn't seem interested in my complaint and quick enough to hand me the bill. Much better other options around.
Awful service, took at least 10 minutes to bring water and bread to the table if not more. It took over an hour to bring my fried yellow tail and after i started to eat it, found out as i was carving the fish that it wasn't fully fried. Yes they took it off the bill but that was not what i set out to do I wanted to eat the Yellow Tail. It advertise one price on line and once you take a seat the Menu has another price. My yellow tail dish on the on line menu says 23.95 yet on the Menu its 26.95. I didn't price check other dishes. Bad experience, would never set foot again there.
This place was excellent. Jose was outrwaiter and between his charming personality and the salsa dancing it made the environment even better. The food was amazing. My family of 4 shared the #80 & # 81. This was more than enough food for all of us to share. The meat was so delicious u wished they gave you more. We also had the key lime mojito and a carafe of the sangria. This all made the dinner amazing. This is definitely a place I recommend you going. Go early for not wait as they do not take reservations. And on Saturday nights they have salsa dancing on their sidewalk from 5-9. You feel like you just stepped to a restaurant in Cuba even though you are still 90 miles away:)
Yes, yum, yes. A must see; this is an intriguing building. We usually just go in the off season but we brought family from out of state and it was packed. We still were seated smoothly and service was supreme. Food is very classic and traditional Cuban cuisine. The bartender was impressive and entertaining. Fabulous drinks and presentation. Beautiful glass to take home too.
