I was looking for a different Edward Jones office from the one I was previously with. I called this lady on a Friday afternoon and she told me after a long time speaking that she was in a meeting and promised to call back. Monday came, no call back. Wednesday morning came and I called her again and she said "I am in a meeting". I told her that I felt as though she did not want to take over our portfolio. Only after approaching her did she admit that they don't like taking portfolio's from other friends at Edward Jones. I asked her why she lied to me and not just tell me the truth. Personally, I do not want an adviser that feels it is ok to lie to me so easily. She seems like a backstabber.
