The room was not clean, friends daughter was bit by something while she slept that left small white bumps all over her arms. Pool was broken. Etc.
It's nice. The employees are nice and helpful. The room was large ( double queen room). Had a cold refrigerator and clean working microwave. Dining table with two chairs. The TV was fuzzy with few channels. Hubby didn't like that but I don't watch TV. Good wifi. Hot water and cold ac. The beds were comfortable. The housekeeper could do a good subbing with a magic eraser on a few spots. But a clean room. The breakfast was a typical continental but did have hot homemade waffles and I love waffles. Pool was unusable but didn't care, just needed sleep.
Terrible and not at all like it is described online. Clerks were drinking beer upon check in. Cracked drywall, a painted bathtub, no pool and dirty rooms.
Avoid this one!!!!!!!!!! Do not stay here!!!!!!
This past weekend we were planning on staying at an Econolodge in Michigan for our family vacation. We had been to this location already last year and enjoyed our stay, so I booked the hotel online back in April for our stay in July. I called prior to booking our 3 night stay to check on things and we were a go. We made the 4 1/2 hour commute with 2 little kids, checked in, got to our room, changed into our swimming suits, only then to discover that the entire pool area was closed!!! There was absolutely no notification of this online or when I called. Apparently the pool area had a ventilation problem and had been down since the past October. The entire area was closed down because of mold. This was not going to fly for our one and only summer vacation with 3 kids. Our room and the hotel had an odor to it, and with my husband working in HVAC knew it had to do with mold. After discovering all of this, I asked to cancel our reservation. The nice lady at the front desk told me I needed to check in with Choice Hotels, whom I spent several hours with on the phone. Choice customer service informed me that the general manager was the only one who could refund my money. After also spending several hours on the phone trying to find a safer, cleaner hotel with working amenities, as well as being on the phone with customer service, it was a real run around. I still haven't heard back from the general manager at Econolodge and ended up spending over double the cost to make last minute arrangements to stay at other locations, 1 even in a different town because of availability. I would appreciate it if someone would help render this situation, as if not, I believe we are done being Choice Hotel customers all the way. Very, very, very disappointed with the situation!!!!!
Drove 8 hrs and paid $228.00 for 2 nights cashbecause their system was not taking cards. So i had to pay a $100 deposit since it was cash. Then we get here and the pool is broke. Its been broke since last october the employee said!! Poor customer service also i might add. No internet downstairs in the rooms they allow pets in, and they have been saying for a couple years now they are going to fix it. Ceiling is wet where it has been leaking and the room and hotel smell like mildew!!! Im so disappointed time for a new hotel!!!
Food was very good. Staff was kind and helpful. Would go back again. Food was very good
We were given the wrong room on getting there. The replacement room we couldn't get in to because the door handle fell off. The third room we finally settled in, the bathroom sinks and shower was so built up with lime that they barely spayed and went in all directions accept the direction it was supposed to. The beds were hard, and the pillows extremely flat. I'm giving it one star because the staff was friendly and the air conditioner worked, but I won't be staying here again.
It was an enjoyable stay. Room was very roomy and plenty of sitting space. Micro and frig in room is convenient. Staff was very friendly. Towels and sheets very clean. The continental breakfast was convenient in the morning. I would recommend this to be a place to stay if you are in Hollywood.
