My husband, children, and I have stayed here many times. The owners, Ron and Paula, have always been more than accommodating to us. The cabins are always clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoy the peace & solitude of the lake and resort.

I been staying here with my brother for 10 plus years, and look forward to it every year. We are not from around the area. Ron and Paula are awesome people. They have helped us out probably on each trip with something. Ron seems to fix something every trip on our trucks or trailer and we greatly appreciate that. There's good fishing and beautiful scenery.

Very beautiful lake and place to stay at, really let's you experience the U.P. nature. I stayed here with my family of 5 and had a great time. My favorite part was early mornings when the lake was calm and you could here the echo of the loon call across the lake.

Great fishing and swimming as well. I would recommend it.

Well, there are always two sides to every story, Jennifer. Let me tell the other side!
She said there were a lot of people in her party. She neglected to state that there were at least 20 -25 people staying in those two two-bedroom cabins, suitable for 4 people in each, and using the toilets and showers! If the person who reserved had told us she was planning a reunion, we never would have agreed to rent to her! She paid the price for 4 people in each cabin! Jennifer complained about us refusing to give any more toilet paper to them. A jumbo roll of toilet paper was in the holder; another in the medicine chest, which was more than ample for 4 people for three days. Why should we supply toilet paper and clean linens for all the extra people who did not pay to stay here?
We had three other cabins rented to people who couldn't even use the dock or paddle-boats because they were taken up by this hoard of people. We have had family reunions who rent the whole place and there weren't as many people as were in those two cabins. She said I was rude. When people abuse your hospitality, and don't want to pay for the extra people staying here, why wouldn't we appear rude? There were 10 cars and a motorcycle at 6 in in morning, it’s hard to believe they weren't there all night. They were rude to expect that we would take that abuse. After they left, I immediately went to my list of names and addresses and wrote alongside the woman's name: NEVER RENT TO AGAIN. ABUSES HOSPITALITY.

Friends of mine stayed here and LOVED it! Cozy cabins, beautiful lake, swimming, fishing, sunsets. Places to go for dinner close by, owners are down to earth and eager to make your stay comfortable.
If you need to get away and relax in Nature.. Sportsmans Paradise Resort will be the answer. 5☆

Second year my family went. 1st year was ok.
This time hot water ran out in middle of shower, not resupply of towels and washrags, lady was rude when we asked for more toilet paper. There were only two rolls in each cabin!
Supposed to have free anytime access to boats and dock and fire pit area ..we were told. We were taking up too much room, there were a lot of us but we booked two cabins!!lady was rude we won't go back cuz we pay too much to be treated liked crap!
