The camping was nice and Mark the owner is just a hoot. Gave us some really good directions that were better than our GPS (he took us around some of the tougher hill area for big rigs) He keeps a nice, clean place. Our site was a pull through which was nice for our 5th wheel right near the river. All sites had full hookups except the tent sites. Camp ground was fairly quiet and if you have kids there was neat play area. It also wasn’t that far from The Green Bank telescope and the Cass Scenic Railroad.

Beautiful setting by the river. Fellow campers were friendly and quiet. Clean bathroom. Kids' play area. Next door to scenic train ride.

We had a wonderful time staying in Durbin at the East Fork Campground which is between the Durbin Rocket and the river. Very small town centered around the steam train rides. We stayed in a 5th wheel and had full hookups didnt check out the bath house the other reviewer was complaining about Very clean and nice campground with an unbeatable price.

Just returned home from our 2nd trip to EastFork campground and stable. We just love it there! The horseback riding is great there. The camping is great and they keep such a clean place. The staff there is so helpful and goes out of there way to make sure your stay is a great experience! Can't wait till we can return!

This campground is not what it is advertised to be. The photos are idyllic but in reality the RV's a loaded in every which way. The river bed was dried up and that was never mentioned when I talked to the owner (not his fault but would have been nice to know since I told him my husband wanted to do some trout fishing there). The mountains were beautiful however the campground was lacking sorley. The bathrooms and showers were in tin sheds, dirty and looked to be 'jerry rigged' every which way. There were porta johns throughout if desperate but only one shower for the "Does" and one for the "Bucks". Dogs are allowed to run unleashed throughout so watch where you step. And if you love horse manure in the morning before coffee, this is definitely the right place, the camp grounds are surrounded by stables. The discount offered in the RV Guide club we joined was not honored. On the whole, a disappointing trip.
