I've been using the South Shore in E.C. almost daily for over a year now and I I gotta say, it's pretty great. Sometimes there are delays (which suck), but it's not too bad. There's free wifi on the train as well, but that's also sometimes kinda limited.
Free parking is great. It's difficult to get out of the lot at rush hour. Trains break down frequently and are dirty. It's better than driving into Chicago, though.
Ample free parking, 24/7 ticket machines, station is clean on the inside
Whenever I'm in town I love using the South Shore
I love the South shore line. They could improve on there communication when trouble hits, but so could Illinois trains.
The wifi never functions properly
Hassle free, ez in and out, plenty of parking.
Stuck sitting on the track for 30+ minutes when trip was only supposed to take 40. I should have rented a car.
24 hr automated ticket system, peak time ticket agent present, lots of FREE parking, reasonably clean restrooms (considering the location)
