Management at the Rockville location is horrible and has oversold memberships. It is consistently too crowded to use the gym facilities. The manager told me they don't have a limit on how many memberships they sell. Do not buy a membership if you expect this location to be your primary gym. [Posted 3/23/2018]

I had a birthday party for my 10-year-old here. The instructors were outstanding, especially considering that they were working with a bunch of caked-up boys. For parties, the offer a private set of climbing walls and two belayers. Otherwise, the gym also has several sets of walls, plus boulders, and a small weight room with treadmills, and a shop.

I enjoy it well enough, I just wish they had auto belays. Friendly staff, a cool little workout area, and the other patrons are seemingly good people.

Pretty awesome place! But I'm giving it 3 stars, because I believe they overcharge on many of their goods and "deals". They have a family membership that some how does not work with siblings (I'm a twin, and they won't let my twin and I create a family membership). It only works for married people and their kids. I don't know why this establishment is so strict with their family membership plans when they make more than enough money through training sessions and other courses they offer.

It was my first time doing something like this and i loved it. The instructor and all the staff were really nice and helpful. I've tried both open climbing and bouldering. Although it's quite expensive, but it's worth it!

Super expensive, they need to lower their prices to accommodate students or active duty military. All they provide is just a discount on day passes or the initiation fee but nothing else.
I hope they reconsider and also make sure not to hire so much staff. It seems a lot of them don't do too much at allresponse / report this review -

I come here every year when I come to Maryland. Its an awesome place to rockclimb. The staff is very friendly and the place is just huge with so many different places to climb. Also a nice gym by the front. One thing is that its a bit expensive.

We did our Intro to Climbing class here and liked the gym a lot. We have since returned after getting some more climbing experience and LOVE this gym. The walls are fun and challenging, everyone is really nice, and the store has a great selection. This gym makes you push yourself. Try it out!

Very mellow vibe. Great atmosphere great people, good for all ages and skill levels. People are friendly and supportive. The walls are redone frequently so you never get bored. I climb there 3 days/week.

Post expansion some 4-5 years ago, this gym has become truly awesome to visit. I've always respected their setting, but the features they have now are just lots of fun. There is a lot of space so you never feel like you're on top of anyone and plenty of things to do or areas to sit down when you're done climbing or just there to watch.
