This is the golf course I practice my long irons
One of the better city golf courses in Rockford. It has the best greens but the sand traps could use a little more sand.
Played there today. The irrigation system must not be working. The driest, hardest course I've played in years. I get it's a Rockford, IL park district course but take some pride a 5 iron from the rough bouncing and rolling an additional 60 yards down the fairway is ridiculous. Play the forest preserves if you want well maintained quality a a fair price.
Greens are in terrible shape, with ballmarkers everywhere on the greens. Course never drains well like Aldeen. A ranger is never out speeding up play when needed. Can become a decent course if golfers can fix the divots on the greens and fairways.
Wide open course with big slow greens
Great staff and an excellent golf course.
Decent course for the price.
My brother and I were in town for the National AMC Car Show and took a break. We picked this course and couldn't have picked a better course. The staff were extremely friendly, fees were within range and the conditions were very good. Greens are quick, the holes are challenging which made for a great experience.
Pretty open course and good prices
Well Maintained, Friendly Staff, and Occasional Wildlife to enjoy too while enjoying a quiet round of Golf. Plus Convenient Location, and Fair Prices. Give Elliot a Try!
Course is in great shape, but really cold out there. wind blowing pretty good out there, went back to Nashville. played in October.
