Excellent food and service. The Father's day brunch is a bit pricey but worth it for the special occasion. Also went there for an office holiday party and we had excellent service and great food.

Excellent experience. Great decor, design and food. People were so nice and accommodating. Numerous parking spots and easy. Ligjting and design is breathtaking.

For the past three years, I have came to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. My first two birthdays here were great. However, I can't say the same about my birthday today. My husband made us reservations for 7 pm. When we arrived we were asked to wait to be seated because there was a large party and they were waiting for people to leave. We didn't have a problem with this because the other two times we came for my birthday we had to wait and we had a reservation. Another couple walked in after we had been waiting 25 minutes and they had a reservation for 730. The manager walked up to them immediately and apologized to them because their table was not ready. I didn't get upset because I thought maybe she didn't see us waiting here for 25 minutes. Around 730 my husband and I along with the other couple were finally seated. The manager offered both couples free appetizers because of the wait (I didn't understand why she offered the second couple free appetizers for waiting five minutes and we waited 30 but hey maybe she was in the giving spirit). After both couples were seated we both had the same waiter. He was very nice and attentive to the other couple but was very rude and short with my husband and I. He was very chatty with the other couple and he barely wanted to ask us what we wanted to eat. He didn't even give us a drink menu. Thank god we had been there before and we knew what we wanted because as soon as we ordered our complimentary appetizers he took our menus away. After he brought us the appetizers he said oh I took the menus away from you do you know what you want to eat? Instead of getting upset my husband and I just placed our order. As he was walking out with our salads (the server station is close to where we were sitting) the other couple called him over to their table. The waiter then turned around, sat our Salads down at the server station and proceeded to help the other couple. After he helped the other couple he went back to get our salads. As we see him walking towards us again with our salads the couple calls him again and he sits are salads back at the servers station. At this point my husband and I are extremely upset. We have felt ignored all evening and my husband was ready to walk out. I told him that we already ordered our food and let's just try to get through dinner. He brings us our food shortly after and we start to eat. We tried to get his attention a few times (we needed things to go with our food) and he ignored us again for a new table that had just been seated. The other couple that got seated the same time we did got and finished their food a little bit before we did. The waiter walked over to them offered to packed their food up for them and brought them their check. After he finished things up with them he walked over to us and just started picking up the plates (my husband still had some leftover food he wanted to take home on his plate) after he picked up my husbands plate he said oh did you want me to pack this up for you, my husband just said no because the night was already ruined. The waiter (Mark L.) was very rude to my husband and I. Today is my birthday and he made it a really bad experience for me. I have celebrated my birthday here for three years and the first two time were great. That is why I kept coming back. After today, I probably won't be coming back. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant in years.

I decided to bring the meal in this Thanksgiving instead of slaving over the stove, and chose Dutches Daughter for our meal planning. The owner, Eileen Dungeon, personally assisted me and made suggestions based on my family of 4’s food preferences (half pescatarian).
The staff prepped my food (mostly uncooked) to be picked up the evening before with precise instructions and times to cook so it was as fresh as possible.
Every thing was perfect!! The cream of crab and Maryland crab soups were the perfect start! Followed by an incredible Dutch’s Seafood platter, lobster tails, scallops, imperial crab, crab cakes, blackened salmon, NY strip steaks, twice baked potato’s, and fresh green beans !!!
To top it off, when I came to pick up the food and go over the heating instructs with Eileen, she noticed that I had not ordered anything for desert and gave us a freshly made pecan pie!
I couldn’t have imagined that something like this could go off without a hitch , but it did.
Not a detail was missed! Including freshly baked bread, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, honey mustard salad dressing, black peppercorn sauce for the steaks and plenty of drawn butter for the lobster
I just had to share this exceptional experience and highly recommend Dutches Daughter for your next event.response / report this review -

Great food, great atmosphere, friendly service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile from the hostess. I asked if there was a bar area and she was kind enough to call down to make sure there was sitting room. Making my way to the Dungeon, as they call it, I was greeted again with a friendly smile. Got my drink, ordered my food (crab cakes) with fresh green beans. Food came out quickly which gave me time for fresh vanilla ice cream and pecan pie. Bartender was Katelyn. Hopefully spelled correctly. She was friendly and even though the bar had several patrons, she was quick to ask if I needed anything and I noticed she treated all patrons equally and promptly. I come to the area once maybe twice a year. I will definitely return.

Went there for a group meeting with about 40 others. They had us crammed into a little room that wouldn't have been comfortable. But when asked quickly and professionally set us up in a much larger room. The wait staff was professional and non obtrusive to the meeting. The food was apportioned well and excellent tasting. Parking was ample. Overall a great experience. We meet here every other month and will continue for the foreseeable future.

We were a party of 4. The food was delicious: salad, entree and side dishes were all prepared well. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Lovely setting.

This place is great for special occasions and hosting guests. The main level dining rooms are attractive but not super fancy. There is casual dining downstairs. The portions are hefty and delicious. Pretty expensive but worth it.

Frederick's popular local favorite specializing in steaks, seafood and excellent desserts. A cozy atmosphere upstairs and a pub down stairs in the Dungeon with outdoor seating. Open for both lunch and dinner. Excellent crab bread and the steak and cheese is just that, bite size NY Strip steak with mushrooms and onions.

Very romantic. Excellent food and service. Wonderful decor. Plenty of free parking. Great place to bring a date, a family or a large group. Restrooms are very clean and well layout. If you want more of a bar scene then go down the interior steps to the dungeon. You can eat down there too. Yummy!

Wanted to give 5 stars based on my last visit (a couple of years ago) but was a little disappointed this visit. Ordered Surf and Turfsteak was a little overcooked but the crab cake was great. At $50ish it should be perfect. Everyone at our table loved the appetizers (crab dip and spinach dip). The kids chicken finger meal was huge. My wife was a little disappointed in the twin lobster tails thought they were a little dry, possibly from being broiled instead of boiled.
Over still a great dinning experience. Close to giving 5 stars.response / report this review -

Just before 6 on Friday my lovely bride wants to take are 2 teenage girls to a nice dinner. We hit the Dungeon as we call it which is the bottom of Dutch's Daughter without a reservation. They are crowded but we squeeze in and and the whole atmosphere is hopping but not rowdy. Smiles and laughter with great food. Fast service with a Experience that had the 2 of them saying we found a new birthday party dinner. We always take them to the resteraunt of their choice.Looking forward to a return. Great Place

I want to give a better rating. We arrived just before 7:00 pm on a Friday night to a restaurant that wasn't busy. The outside looked beautiful. We were there to attend a banquet. There were three staff in the lobby. None of them greeted us or even acknowledged our presence. We recognized a party with our banquet and followed them upstairs. The restaurant is meant to look fancy but compared to the outside it looked like they ran out of funds to decorate the inside properly. There was no apparent theme from room to room or anything to bring it together. Our banquet organizer stated that they were less than favorable with working with our party to schedule our banquet even though reservations were made a year in advance. On more than one occasion they lost the reservation that was made and confirmed in writing and forced us to alter the day. Our banquet was full of professionals who were polite and cordial. Unfortunately the wait staff were not reciprocal. Aside from the head waitress, the rest of the staff appeared either unqualified or too indifferent to work banquets. They properly assisted tables to the buffet line. The buffet was fresh and piping hot a plus. The food appeared to have been cooked recently and not sitting around. They maintained quantity promptly replacing the pans as they would get close to emptying. They served a mixed salad, Dutch's chicken, beef tips, 2x baked potatoes, sauteed green beans, rolls, prime rib and chocolate mousse pie. They offered a range of drinks from soda, iced tea and a selection of hot teas to water with lemon. All of the food tasted OK with the exception of the bland 2x baked potatoes and the prime rib with no taste.
I do not know why this place has such a decent review average because the price and outside decorum absolutely does not match the taste of the food or professionalism of the wait staff.
I read in another review that this place lacked originality which I agree. I'd take it a step further In my opinion, Golden Corral does a better job overall with the professionalism of their wait staff and the quality of their food.
I implore the management at Dutch's Daughter to retrain their staff and liven their food offerings. Rise above just being a spot for the the holiday or 10 year anniversary meal to be something better for Frederick.response / report this review -

We frequently go here for the Sunday Brunch. It is a buffet and is wonderful. I have also held my company events here on several occasions. They do a fantastic job and they make it easy! A few times a year we will also have dinner here. It is always a nice experience. The portions have gotten a bit smaller in the past few years and the prices have gone up but if you are willing to pay for it it is a nice dinner. would recommend, especially for Brunch!
