  Maybe this business does well with summer rentals, but I would not rent again for an academic rental. I know they don't care about the qualities of their properties when renting out to students. You'd think that they would advise the homeowners to winterize their beach homes for the winter, as it IS New England and not 80 degrees out all of the time, but they just want to make money. With the money that the students put into the house, they might as well have just bought the entire property. A beach house and a winter house are two different things and if you're not willing to make adjustments to the house as a whole to make renting conditions survivable, then stop renting it out. They definitely treat you with little respect and are very condescending. Oh and did I mention that we have been waiting for a repair for about 4 months now? 10/10 do NOT recommend.

  We had an awesome time, the house was clean and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Durkin Cottage office managers were very helpful and kind.

  They provided us with a vacation house that slept 22 people! Our family played games, performed theatre, and prepared great meals together. It was a blast.

  When things go well with a rental with them, it's all good. When things go wrong, don't expect them to care. They never even paid me the refund they promised after half of our vacation was ruined with a sewage problem. If you like to gamble, they have great houses. Just hope nothing goes wrong because they will not move you or refund your cash.
