I live in Al. and drive 400 miles ( round trip )to see Dr. Melvin, he has literally saved my life due to a surgery that went bad in Birmingham Al. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for this great man !! Not only is the greatest surgeon but has the greatest bedside manners ever !! He really cares about his patients deeply which is rare these days , take it from a person who has had multiple surgeries for different reasons, I am truly blessed to have Dr, Melvin and would highly recommend him for anyone who needs surgery and a Dr. you can trust , especially the more complex cases!! I had to have emergency gall bladder removal. Dr.Melvin was my surgeon. He is the nicest and best surgeon that I could have asked for. Great bedside manner as well as professionalism. I have also had a visit with the other surgeon and he is just as nice and professional.

Dr. Melvin is by far one of the best doctor's/surgeon I've ever had. He is beyond kind and has the best bedside manner. Dr. Melvin makes you feel as if your his only patient and it's beyond obvious just how much he genuinely cares. His office staff is just as kind. I highly recommend Dr. Melvin!

Dr. Melvin is a wonderful surgeon! He performed an emergency appendectomy on my 13yo son last year. Friday he did emergency surgery on me. His bedside manner is AMAZING! He makes you feel like you are his only patient. The hospital staff stated he is one of the best. I would have to agree. I will go to him before I see one of my employer's physicians. That's how much trust & faith I have in him. There aren't enough words to express the gratitude and respect that I have for this man!

Dr. Melvin and Dr. Taylor and their staff are PHENOMENAL!!! They really do care about their patients and the recovery process! They go out of their way for each and every patient! I was very pleased and would highly recommend them to ANYONE! I wish I could have them as a primary care doctor!!
