John and his crew at Downtown sounds has done an awesome job on all of my family's cars. A new stereo in my daughters car and they have put in 4 car starters one of which John did outside while laying in the snow.. As well as a back up camera in my other daughters caravan. No complaints all done in a timely manner .John is all business. ..

If there is a bigger idiot and thief in this world, I do not want to meet them. took him my rims to put on the tires off of my truck and balance them put back on the truck. Simple most would say. Not him, charged me 275 including new lugs for 100 and torque for 35, why you charge for torquing wheels is another story. as soon as I left there I heard a sound coming from the wheels, the tape weights they put on were hitting the calipers, turned around and they fixed that, get on the highway and the whole truck was vibrating, had the tires re balanced and they were WAY off due to his logic of only needing outside weights and not inside, they were off 2.75 oz on the light tire and 4 on the heavy one. took them 2 hours and a lot of story's on how he is some type of god in the rim industry to get out of there. this guy is a crook and I will be telling everyone I know not to go there. He is only there to make money and screw people, this is what gives places like this a bad name and will never be anything else but a bad name.

Great experience. My rims were causing a vibration on Mercedes Benz. I found out I needed new rims on 3/29/17 @ 6:00pm. I searched Craigslist and Facebook couldn't find anything. I stopped there and they had OEM Mercedes rims in mint condition. These guys hooked me up without taking a dent out of pocket. By 6:45 I was driving away with some new wheels. Will recommend this shop to anyone. Very quick and professional

LET ME TELL YOU about this guy and this place. My son purchased for me in late Oct, early Nov an auto car start which never worked for meand when I tried to get the guy to fix it-he got NASTY! I had to get firm with himget him to warrenty his product/laborWHICH he finally didAFTER A near wrestling match to the floor (on the phone, of course! I threatened small claimed court and for him to REMOVE the darned thing!!) so, this saidHE DID fix it. BUT let me tell you about the place..the lot is so cramped with almost no way to parkit's on a hill, and since I was there on an icy-snowy day, there was NO SNOW REMOVAL OR LOT maintenanceso I had to hold onto cars and HIM to get aroundto keep from slidingwell, I dunno, but I don't think I'd take anything back to him. Maybe he was having a bad day, but he certainly didn't need to try to pass it TO ME! ONE STAR is too many for this placemaybe the teenagers LIKE itbut not this ole Mama! NOPE! NOT ME! UGH.

Very overpriced. I went in to get an estimate on tinting and they were the most expensive estimate in Lima. After I heard the price of the estimate, I didn't ask if it came with any guarantees like other places offer when you have them tint your car windows. I seen the prices of a few of their items they had for sale as well and they were also over priced. For a back up camera they had there, you could get the same exact one from Amazon for $20 (I know because I have the same one installed on my car). Everything in the store looked very old and dirty as well. Everything had spots and grime on it. None of the chrome items were shiny.

At 11am I called to inquire about installation of a remote car starter that I bought myself and they said yes, we can do it, in fact bring it in today, so I set up an appointment for 1pm that same day. I dropped the vehicle and remote starter off at 12:55pm and gave them my cell phone number and they told me it would take about an hour and they would call me when its ready. After not hearing from them for 2 hours and since my home was an hour away and I was tired of just hanging out in town, I stopped back by their shop and they said they were just starting on it because they had 2 emergencies come in. What possible emergencies at an auto sound shop, I don't know, but anyhow I waited. Overall it took 3-1/2 hrs to get the 1 hour job done, but they did a good job and were friendly about it. They also charged me $50 over the quoted install price $285 total including labor, bypass module, and wiring harness, plus I bought the remote starter myself so I had a total of almost $400 in this experience, a lot more than their advertised $140 remote car starters - installed on the front of the shop. 3 stars averages out for friendly and good service, vs misleading pricing and putting 2 walk in customers in front of my scheduled appointment. I think thats a pretty fair review.
