We ate lunch here today and both of us enjoyed our meals. The food was excellent. Server was pleasant and attentive. We were very satisfied with our overall experience.
Food on the lunch menu is Great at a great price. Definitely recommend the food and the salsa is good which is a bonus in this area. 3 stars is for the domestic light beer draw 16 oz for 5.99. The 2 for 1 margaritas didn't taste good and lacked tequilla the reason a margarita is expensive is because you should only need 2! :( Happy hour was 2 for 1 drafts and 5.99 for a draft is ridiculous when I was just sitting on the beach drinking a 16oz draft for 3.25. Is what it is. Will be back for food and no drinks
My family loves this place, we go here often and it's always good. The service is usually good but sometimes a little rough, it's really hard to find good employees anywhere in FL, it's not the business that's the problem. The food and drinks are really good. The beach is directly across the street so we like to go for a little walk after we eat dinner.
The food is so-so and a captain and coke was $9! After the only person waiting tables took our drink order it took 10 minutes for him to let us know he couldn't make the drinks and we had to choose something else. Very understaffed!
I would: Definitely experience this restaurant at least once
An attractive location, both inside and out right across from the Atlantic Ocean.
I visited during the busy dinner hours on a Friday evening and there were a considerable amount of customers already seated. There was absolutely no line and I was seated immediately in what seemed to be a remote location of the restaurant, due to other areas being full. Surprisingly, I also got a parking spot right by the door..
My waiter did not forget me at any time. Service was very good and my food was served in just a few minutes.
Everything tasted like I expected: Delicious and predictable. Presentation for my dish was good and, although I thought the portion was average (compared to another similar sized Mexican restaurant), I remind myself that they have to pay rent right across the Atlantic Ocean.
Nice place. The food is superb. Yet the waitress is not attentive. She should have come by more often to remove plates off our table especially whenever she brought another dish out with more food. Our table was just too crowded. That is something that a waiter or waitress should automatically do without having to be asked. I went to a crab restaurant the day before and the waitress there was on point.
They now charge for additional chips and salsa and the first basket of chips is skimpy and the salsa bowl is only a quarter full. Additionally, the taco salad is only 50% of what it use to be. Barely any meat. Since you have to pay for additional salsa, I could not put salsa on my salad. I will NEVER go back there again. If they continue this practice, they will eventually go out of business. Definitely not worth the money anymore. I do not recommend this Mexican restaurant.
My favorite Mexican Restaurant. Food is fresh, homemade, flavorful. Love their happy hour, too. Good prices. I bring my friends and family here when they are in town. My sister loves their fresh spinach quesadilla and I love their steak fajitas. Their Margaritas are great; the beers are great; and they even have Bourbon -- a full bar. They also have Take Out now or you can order online. LOVE this place. Staff is attentive, too.
People's has managed to balance price and serving size perfectly. You might not go home with a ton of left overs but you are full and the food is delicious and the service spectacular.
Fresh salsa and very thin, crispy chips. Service was a little slow for the number of patrons, but they were friendly. Food was good.
This is one of the BEST restaurants of ALL time! I go here usually once a WEEK! This place has the best kids chicken fritters! I'm only 11 years old and this place is AMAZING!I will go here until I grow old. Try the Dimitris Bar and Deck restaurant next door too! They are AMAZING as well! Hurry up and try Dimitris Bar and Deck restaurant before it becomes Pelicans Landing! It's changing fast so try it! Now, back to Don Peppers Mexican Grill Cantina, this place is GREAT!!!!!! I GREATLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE BIG TIME!!!!!!
This was my first real dinner on dry land after 8 days at sea. My father, his girlfriend and I met my sister and her fiancé at their favorite local place. We arrived late and it was quiet; Paul, the bartender, served us. Paul was charismatic and attentive and even managed to keep up with my very loud and fairly eccentric party. We ordered drinks, and they were all expertly prepared. The tequila selection here is second to none. We ordered California burritos, fajitas, and a taco salad. It came out very quickly and all was excellent and fresh. The portions were very generous especially considering the price. All in all an excellent dining experience and well worth the 8 days of travel. I will be going here whenever I'm in the vicinity of Ormond Beach. Paul was fantastic and really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time there. Go here you will have a great time!
Great location near the beach and good drink deals during happy hour. There chips and Salsa are good and their spicy salsa is yummy. Some of there meals of a little bit heavy but taste amazing. Service is fast and decor is nice. Love the fact that they support the local community as well as a local running club I run with.
