Went there a week ago after making reservations and looking forward to a great steak dinner with my wife. We also made a reservation to get a carriage ride.
On the plus side the server did a great job.
On the negative side; the room was down right chilly;
the steak that I waited all week to get was quite tough; my wife ordered fish that was chewy. Neither dinner was hot.
For the money it was a bad experience.
The carriage ride was great.

The Gas House is on the ground floor and there is a Japanese Steakhouse upstairs. You go in the same door for both restaurants. The menu at the Gas House isn't huge, but what is offered has been carefully selected and is very well made. The staff is friendly and helpful and is able to answer all questions about the food. Moderately priced in a cozy atmosphere. Free cake on your birthday!

Got right in on a Friday night. Service was excellent. Food was good but not outstanding. Gumbo had 1 small shrimp and celery. Where is the rice, saugage, etc. Jumbalya was good, but had lots of vegetables that weren't listed on menu (not big on veggies). Taste was very good. Huge portions. Overall good but not great.

Good wide choice of food. Prices are good. It's a nice casual place to have dinner but not break the bank. Good bar too!

This is my favorite place in Fort Wayne. Cozy, peaceful, and most importantly, enjoy the outdoor bar by the river called the ' Deck '. Great place to eat or just have a drink. Weekends are very busy. Best bartender ever- they mixed your drinks just the way u want it. Love this place

Had a perfect bridal shower this afternoon in one of the beautiful private rooms. The food was wonderful and the staff, especially the manager Nick made our experience wonderful!! Thank you!!

Don' s gas house is a nostalgic restaraunt. The food was good, service was good. And make sure to tell your server first time eating there

Great place to celebrate or just a quiet dinner. The Deck by the river is great also. Actually had lunch at the Deck and dinner with friends at the inside bar area. Great food and service 😊

So over Halls. Our office eats there all the time because we love their Friday special, but lately, they just can't seem to get it right. Every time we order carryout something is incorrect or missing. We called today and the manager said she was sorry, but thanks for being so cool about it?! We're NOT! When paying $10 for lunch, you expect it to at least be correct. Super disappointing.

We went there for supper on Sat. night It was delicious!! I had blackened shrimp w/a mango salsa, creamed spinach, and for my salad I chose the asparagus and artichoke salad; -it was the best salad ever!!!
Super nice and attentive waiter, and also really talented gentleman playing guitar and singing for us. Enjoyed our time and meal there very much!!response / report this review -

This place is beautiful and historical. If you haven't been to Halls you haven't experienced Fort Wayne and its history. The food here is fantastic and a great place for an anniversary or special occasion.
I received my bill for my wife and I and we ate like kings with Delmonico steak and stuffed chicken with an appetizer. I almost cried because of how amazing that steak was at the price I paid.

Absolutely fantastic meal with excellent wine and perfect service. I attended dinner with my partner for a business function and had the most amazing time. Seafood is the best! It is said that the king crab legs are the best in the country by even by those who travel extensively.

This was not the usual type of restaurant that we frequent. We're used to typical Italian food like spaghetti & meatballs, but that was not even on the menu. We had reviewed their onine menu, which included a lobster pasta dish, but were told the menu changes frequently and that dish was not available. If you post an online menu would suggest it accurately reflect what is available. Server tried to steer us to a multi course option, but not what we were interested in and was not listed online. Great atmosphere, excellent desserts and coffee.
