All I can say is that this should be on everyone's bucket list! We had a really great time! We saw 3 different types of whales and they even put on a little show for our group! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! PLEASE CHECK OUT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY PICS! PLEASE AND THANK YOU! ENJOY!
Staff was fantastic. Ride was smooth. Being closer to the whales allows for more time watching whales than other boats provide. This trip we saw lots of whales. We also saw dolphins, a seal and a Sea turtle. Totally awesome!
What a wonderful experience. When we left it was very foggy. Figured we were in for a four hour fog ride. About an hour out spotted two Humpbacks. They swam with us for at least 45 minutes. It was great that the whale expert knew so much about these two whales, Nile and Bounce. They swam under the ship and we had a great time watching them. Also, saw two other whales and then a pod of Dolphins who surfed for us. We purchased the DVD that was offered and got to relive the adventure at home after it arrived. We were even in the video. Well worth the $$ spent on this cruise and the video.
Amazing experience. Saw at least 12 whales today - two of them were calves. Vessel, snack bar and bathrooms were clean. Crew was knowledgeable and knew most of the whales by name. thank you for a great day. Would definitely do this again.
Best whale watching I've been on. Boats are not overcrowded. Naturalists are helpful but don't talk too much. There is a lot of luck involved in whale watching, and you may want to inquire about recent success before you go out.
There was convenient parking right there by the dock where you get on the boat in P-town (We basically just did the boat trip and parking was less than $20, daily max at time of this writing was $35). We took a 4:30pm boat which allows you to catch sunset on the way back. The trip was great, even though all seats were sold out it did not feel overcrowded. There was food available for purchase on the boat at a fair price, which my kids enjoyed. There was an outfit on board doing professional video of that particular trip which was available for purchase for an addition cost. Additionally, that particular trip was amazing. We saw 15+ whales - mostly Humpback. They were very active on that trip such that the naturalist who was giving a narrative during the trip said, 'Don't expect every whale watching trip to be like this one, tonight was magical'.
I've cruised with this company twice and I cannot sing their praises loud enough. The first time, the guide took us out past our scheduled time in order to ensure we'd see a humpback whale. I appreciate the determination to make sure we got to experience what we paid for. The second time the waters were choppy and my group had several sick members. The crew took excellent care of us and we still saw three species of whales. The tour even provides an marine life education by a scientist so you get entertainment and education all in one. From ages 4 -60 we all enjoyed our timeeven the sick, gross parts. I will not whale watch in New England with any other company.
We had a great time doing this. We saw three humpback whales and I feel like we spent enough time that everyone was able to get good look at them.
The boat ride was also enjoyable as it was an amazingly clear day, but quite breezy so remember to bring warm clothes.
The food on board was fine (burgers, hot dogs, pizza, etc.) and kept us going through the expedition (about 4 hours).
The guide was really knowledgeable about the whales and could even identify them by name. Very informative and entertaining.
Overall we had a great time, and in my opinion it is great value for your money. Definitely recommend it!
Very nice crew, lots of information provided on board by senior staff.
Lots of different whales visible. Worth a trip.
Great tour with knowledgable guide. We were very lucky to attract the attention of a humpback whale. It came up to look at the boat several times! Fantastic creature!
We went out last week and saw dozens of whales. At one point there were humpback whales all around the boat. Best was a calf you repeatedly breached in order (or so it seemed) to observe us as we observed him. Very cool. I have been on whale watch boats here in CA without seeing a single whale. Your trip was very memorable.
I've been on more than 40 Dolphin Fleet whale watches and they never, ever disappoint. It's worth the trip to Provincetown (rather than somewhere else) if only to be exposed to the top notch naturalists from the Center for Coastal Studies. Only one single whale watch has exceeded the Dolphin Fleet experience for me but you'd have to be on an all day boat out of Nantucket to experience that which many would consider cost prohibitive.
We were nervous going into this since it was expensive for us and we weren't sure if we would be able to see from our seats. It was so worth it and we had nothing to worry about! We saw a few fin whales, spent about half an hour watching 15 humpback whales and stopped to see a pod of bottle nosed dolphins! The captain knew exactly where we needed to go to see the animals. We got very close to the whales but I did not feel that we were bothering them in any way! The captain even created some wake for the dolphins to play in and they seemed to love it since some were jumping up and flipping! It was a phenomenal experience! Make sure to bring a jacket since it gets windy as well as sunscreen! (They also provided free Dramamine-no one got sick on our boat!)
