The customer service at Dogs and Suds on Grand Haven Road sucks. An older gentleman who I presume to be the owner was very rude to me. He talked down to me as if I was a peasant. I was not given the opportunity to place an order because I was told that my kind (African American) was not welcomed there.

I love their coney dogs and texas burgers. The rootbeer is the best I have had.

Best Coney dogs ever. My favorite place to eat of all time. Came here as a kid and continue to do so as an adult. A little pricey but well worth it

Huge disappointment and WAY overpriced. Took 3 girls here yesterday afternoon, total bill was $41.34. We had 4 soft drinks, one shrimp and fries basket, and I ordered two double cheeseburger baskets and a bacon double cheeseburger basket. We got the 3 burgers, but no fries. She said it did not come with fries. I paid 8.00 for a bacon double cheeseburger, and 7.50 a piece for double cheeseburgers. We were also told we had to eat outside because the inside wasn't open for seating. Watched a pair of ambulance medics have to turn around and leave with no food because they had no where to sit. Absolutely horrible treatment and service. Will not go back.

I did not eat here. I was going to til I seen the prices. Wayyyyy to much for chili dogs cuz that is not coney sauce. It shouldn't cost over 10 dollars for some dogs fries n chips.

I wish I could give it a better rating but as others have mentioned customer service seems to be a concept they are not very familiar with. Food is decent, wait wasn't too bad, but staff is far from friendly and welcoming. Shame as it makes it hard to go back.

Went there today around 12:30 with my 7 yr old twins and mom. We ordered our food by the picnic tables and sat down at a table. We got our rootbeer quickly. Since there were bees everywhere and my mom is allergic we decided to go eat inside the restaurant. As we were about to go inside an older woman proceeded to lock the door. We explained there were bees everywhere and we'd like to eat inside. She rudely said she was told by the owner to lock the doors and said the dining room was closed. There were about 4 tables full of people and several open tables inside. Shortly after we saw the owner delivering food to a car and explained to him that we were told we could not eat inside and there are bees everywhere at the picnic tables and my mom is allergic to bees. He said there weren't bees there this morning, and explained they can't have people ordering in one area and then moving to a different area and the dining room is closed because the AC isn't working. He said we can either eat at a picnic table or our car, and said this is a drive in and part of the experience is eating in your car. Since I have children it simply does not work for them to eat messy food in a car. We told him to cancel our order and left. We will never return. Never experienced such horrible service in my life. We will only go to the dog n suds in Montague from now onnever had a bad experience at that location.

I wanted to like this place because there aren't many drive-ins around but it was by far the oddest and most unprofessional service I've ever experienced. The food came out relatively quickly, but the hostess and cook made the entire visit incredibly uncomfortable. As someone else said, I was waiting for the TV cameras to come out. Buyer beware

Went about 12:30pm, inside diner wasn't open. Fine. We'll eat outside. No problem. Proceeded to order, but wanted to eat at the picnic tables. Employee gave us a warning, two minute speech how it was busy and would only bring food to the car (fine) and didn't have time to look for us (at the 6 picnic tables they had). Again, fine, we never asked him to bring it anywhere but to our car.

It was also super sunny out so we began to slightly move (10-15 feet) under a shade treeagain got a rude warning speech about moving the tables.

There were 16 of us, 2 considered elderlythey acted like we were criminals. We are not loud, we are polite, we pick up our trash, etc.

The straw that broke the camels back.THE BATHROOMS WERE NOT OPEN!?!?!

My 70yo dad trucked to the gas station to use a bathroom.

I can't even comment on the food since the service was the WORST and RUDEST I've ever experienced. Hideous.

Will never, ever go back and these folks need to reconsider their line of work because customer service is NOT their gift.

Too many rules. That sign wait to be seated is stupid. A little boy got dragged out by his parents today because the greet staff said he had to sit were he was told and not touch the phone. The food has always been good, but the rules need to stop. After almost two years with the dirty phones we don't need to be asked if we know how to order. This is a non friendly young children place. Next they will have a dress code. And they need to close the door to keep the flies out and turn on the air.
