Doe Bay is such a magical place! Can't go wrong with wherever you sleep. So much to explore and so many ways to relax!
The most magical place in the San Juans. This is my 7th or so time staying at Doe Bay. Rooms are always clean, warm, and accommodating. The clothing optional spa is hands down the best. Second best is the amazing food at the cafe. The staff is always always lovely and friendly.
Doe Bay is a wonderful, remote retreat for anyone looking to reflect on their lives. I have only had friends stay at the resort but have eaten at the cafe and used the spa facilities. The food has consistently exceeded expectations across four visits and the spa is warm and welcoming. Plus, you can’t beat the view from the hot tubs. I would confidently recommend Doe Bay to anyone who doesn’t mind acquainting themselves with outdoor island life.
Very comfortable rooms (stayed in domes and yurts), friendly service, amazing food, spa friendly to people of all ages, and simply perfect atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough.
Beautiful location. Wonderful spa. Very nice and clean facilities. Have to watch where you walk with so many dog droppings. Restaurant was nice, but not for me or my family. Thursday night open mike had lots of nice music you could hear across the resort.
Not my kind of place, baked goods vegan and fish/seafood dishes. Basic egg n potato (one each?) breakfast seemed tiny for the price.. and attitudes. They nailed the atmosphere they're going for in my opinion, just not my style.
Enjoyed a nice dinner at Doe Bay restaurant with my family. Outdoor seating with a view of the Bay, quiet conversation, and amazing food. It's clear that the chef knows what's up because our meals were fabulous. The waitress was kind and generous. Took a walk around the resort and shared a sunset!
Stayed in the Doe Dome. Good spot for wave sounds in the evening. Lots of space so almost too much space for the bed and out door 2-top. Still recommend and will look to getting the yurt called sweet spot. Cabins looked good too yet domes and yurts are where it is at in the summer.
My life partner and I had our "celebration of life promises" at Doe Bay about 20 years ago. A year later we sailed there on our way around the world. We're still together, still sailing and Doe Bay is Still one of my favorite places on the planet Earth.
Had an absolutely lovely dinner at the cafe. The food was fantastic! The live music was just right. Came back the next day to soak in the hot tubs after a long bike ride on the island. Couldn't think of a better way to end a bike ride. So relaxing and peaceful!
What a great spot. Came up for a wedding and camped out on a beautiful bluff looking out over the sound. Guests have free access to the sauna and spas which is a great perk. There's a community bathrooms and all of the facilities were clean and well maintained. We will be back.
Cabin feel to the inside. Cozy, cute decor, I liked all of the mirrors and lighting. *BAD SERVICE* Restaurant was completely empty with the exception of some off duty employees chatting at the bar. Server wasn't very friendly at all. Spoke to us very flatly. Avoided eye contact. Did not check on drinks or to see how our food was. Had to call him over to see about getting my undercooked salmon cooked all of the way. Which was apparently an issue, as he mumbled f*** walking it back to the kitchen. Ultimately I was uncomfortable and couldn't wait to finish our meals so we could leave. *GREAT FOOD* The salmon and the vegetables were amazing. Hats off to the chef! Probably the best meal I've eaten on this island. I was not disappointed.
Staying at Doe Bay is now a two year tradition that I hope will continue for much longer. Doe bay offers the perfect mix of comfort without ostentation. Caters to all income levels and provides a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The soaking pools are absolutely stunning and are the kind of experience no high-end developer could ever replicate. I camped in my van and enjoyed lounging in the library to warm up and do some internet research, using the group kitchen to cook and clean dishes, and soaked in the hot tubs after my 50k trail race. Everything I could ask for.
