It's a nice place to go. Really clean and friendly staff. But bring a dive buddy. I drove from Atlanta and waited a few hours. I never ended up diving. I believe they could remidy this problem by running some kind of organized dive tour.

Great place to go to get some dives and practice in. There are different things to see at different depths, which makes this a fun experience for everyone. The facility is laid out well and makes for a relaxed day of diving. I'd come back again if I'm itching for a local dive or to work on some skills. Water can be COLD at depths, so make sure you're outfitted properly.

It is the closest place to Atlanta to get certified in a open water environment. I also has something for everyone. With depths to 165' and 45deg it can challenge technical divers and at the same location it offers nice dives for open water students as well.

After last year having to drive 3+ hours each way from Atlanta to other lakes or quarries, I am so relieved Dive Haven is open again! Its a really nice facility with lots of picnic tables, multiple entries and well marked stuff to see down under. They have bouys and lines to all the major items down there. They've also been spending a ton of money clearing up the water so it has above average visibility for a quarry. Yesterday the top thermocline had above 30 feet of vis! Made confined work really relaxing and nice for the students. They are also great about working with instructors - they opened for me on weekdays so I could run some open water classes and were great about helping out with some little stuff - like letting us borrow some extra weight, and swapping out a DIN tank for a yolk one. FWIW, I didn't see anything with kids - it was quiet and we had the whole place to ourselves - course, I only go on Mondays because of my other job. I really recommend it for all those looking to get open water students or just dive outside here in Atlanta!
