Elegant Dining Rooms & friendly staff. A delicious dinner and dessert was served, that included a wonderful vegetarian option that i usually have to wait for someone in the kitchen to scramble to put something together. Or I would have had to order ahead of time. Not the case here . I received my meal at the same time everyone else did . Valet parking. There are renovations going on.

The building itself is one of the main landmarks of Detroit and the major part of its skyline. Located in the heart of downtown and facing the river walks and the Canadian city of Windsor, this hotel is the best choice to access the local restaurants and events. An overall good service and amazing panoramic views.

I was excited to become a new long-lasting customer as I am new to the area. Unfortunately my experience was not what I expected it to be like. The customer service was great, but I was kept from my room for over a couple hours because the lock was out of batteries. My recommendation for the Marriott is to think about what they can do to prevent this from happening in the future. I spent $320.00 on my room with a work discount, so I should have received better service overall. What did I get to compensate? Two free drinks. I work for the biggest company in this area and I will recommend against this hotel because very minimal effort was put toward my comfort as a guest that’s paying a lot of money.

The Rooms are nice. The bed was very comfortable. The Lobby is dated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant was under construction and its stand in left a lot to be desired. The hotel is in Downtown Detroit and is walking distance to Greek town, Ford Field, Comerica Park.

My husband and I stay here at least once per year for a night away and have done so for years. We had intended to do the same last night but our young daughter became suddenly ill. My husband called the Marriott well past our check-in time to see if there was any way they would allow us to change the reservation to another night. They were very kind and allowed us to cancel at no charge given the circumstances. We are very grateful for their customer service and are planning to reschedule for the next few weeks. Marriott definitely has a loyal customer in us for the service we were given.

We went to the lobby to ask where we could use a Marriott Gift Card. We met Jesse who seemed like the man in charge. He took us to the lobby bar and made sure we were taken care of. Incredibly personable and professional. 5 star Jesse!

I do applaud the front desk crew for handling 753 Marines in for Marine week at the beginning of my stay as well as the conference check ins I was there for. I am a Rewards member and choose to be green on the housekeeping. I reuse towels and make my bed. With a longer stay like this was, they are still supposed to come in and clean every 3rd day. They never did this. There were no can liners for me to put my trash in and put outside the door. I did see the housekeeping cart on the floor and heard them cleaning other non-green rooms every day. I would have been happy with simple trash pulls and a replenishment of toiletries. Certain areas had great service and others not so much.

The room was nice with a decent view. Pretty well maintained and overall OK. The valet is a complete s*** show, I mean these people are rude and incompetent. I've always wanted to stay at this hotel because of the views it offers (and I was not disappointed with that) but if you're going to stay here, park elsewhere! You have no choice but to valet here and its a mess.

One of the big benefits though is the ability to walk down to the first floor and eat at the food court or walk right down to the river walk. That's a huge plus!

A very nice hotel in a great location. Views are unsurpassed whether it be a river view or city view. Volt, their Restaurant, is also pretty good. Reasonably priced considering where it's located. Concierge lounge is good too, with a decent river view. Smacks and drink selection is great, with top shelf selections.

Do not use the valet service. I would suggest just staying at a different hotel all together. I stayed at this hotel back in Feb. of 2017 for a work conference and then received a parking ticket months after, in which I never drove my car or took it out of valet. The hotel and valet service has been taking their sweet time trying to figure this out instead of just resolving the situation. After this experience, I do not think I could trust any valet service again. They swear that my car was not taken out of the garage, but how would I get a ticket in an area that is not part of their garage. Then when I called the hotel, they claimed that they had no record of me staying there. Good thing I kept all my receipts cause it seems like a big scam.

Three friends and I stayed on the 47th floor of the hotel and the view was AMAZING! The room was very clean and the beds were super nice! I really like the fact that each room has its own thermostat and the temp change happens very quickly which is a plus. The only thing that was irritating was that there were 4 of us staying in the room and we got 1 hand towel, 1 wash cloth and 2 full size towels.

I just wanted to say that Arlissa Jackson, who works in the fitness and health area, is an amazing woman! Every time I walked into the fitness center she was so kind and always had a positive attitude. She gave me a banana and water each day and knew my name after the first time going in there. She didn't need to go out of her way to have a conversation with me but she did. Very sweet woman and she really cares about the people staying there.

The Detroit Marriott is a fantastic upscale hotel located in the Renaissance Center. The location is excellent, within walking distance to most major sights and attractions and has amazing views of both the Detroit River and downtown. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The Renaissance Center itself was very safe and there was plenty to do right there with the restaurants, bars, and shops. I will definitely stay here again!

This may be the best hotel experience I've had in a long, long time. Amazing rooms. Well furnished and immaculate. Very courteous front desk staff. And if you get access to the concierge lounge, life is amazing!
