I have traveled all over the world and the USA . I have to say this airport staff were very very sweet . Picking up and returning the car with Hertz , both agents were very nice, to leaving the airport and every employee were very nice to me and my wife and baby. Lady working for allegiant airlines walking by was very helpful and stop to complement my daughter and give me directions without me asking . Nice lady that works for the VPS aiport stop to clomplement my daughter and direct us to a cooler place in the airport . Tsa staff very sweet and carying with our family as well ..Thanks VPS crew (hertz, tsa, airport staff, allegiant ) staff

Whoever manages the parking really needs a new job. Welcome do Destin where upon arrival you will wait approximately 40 mins to get out of the parking lot. This place is a joke. Fly PNS.

With the exception of the Delta gate agent Lynn and one of the custodians( can't remember her name but a sweet blonde older lady with braces) worst customer service ever. Picked up courtesy phone to ask if blankets were available bc its cold enough for my nose to start running. N was told no. Airport is not set up for over night maybe I should get a hotel. First off having blankets to accomadate guests is part of common courtesy. Especially since I have been here since 4:30 am Labor Day morning n got bumped on every flight until 6a Tuesday morning( not the airports fault) n spent almost $100 feeding my three kids in the airport. The least the gentleman could have done was check instead of just telling me to get a hotel room Concern 4 other people is dead

If I scribed a full review, I would echo most of what others have already said.  So, I'll just add what wasn't said:  The runways are far away from the terminal.  And I mean a *really* long way away.   Empty your bladder before you descend or take off.

We taxied for 10-15 minutes to get there after we touched down, at a speed that I would estimate in excess of 100 MPH.  The pilot/driver was making 45-degree turns at this speed, causing the plane to pitch over to extreme angles.  At one point I thought that we were going to take off, because the pilot revved up the jet turbines to speed up.

I'm terrified of flying, but the fear that I experienced during take off and landing paled in comparison to the frisson of fright that shot through my autonomous system as we were tearing around the tarmac.  No lie.

Small airport yet convenient. Quick to get to your luggage and car rental are on airport also. Clean and friendly people and airlines are always on time. Short drive to the world best beaches. Just so nice to be in and out without the hassle of big airport traffic and delay.

Small airport shares Eglin AFB flightline. Only issue is with lazy delta employees. Showed up 20 min before flight took off due to bad wreck on 98. Not a single person except us and both delta employees said nothing they could do. Didn't even try to get us on flight. Ronald Fowler and Jackie (would not give last name) were the 2 60+ year old employees just didn't really care. What a lovely feeling when u pay money and get cheap service. Delta has let me down more then any other airline except Silver Airlines.

I love the cell phone area that they have where we can park and wait for flights to come in. Super useful. Wish it had a bathroom in the area and maybe a snack machine since you aren't really supposed to leave your car.

*Edited* VPS is a quick growing airport, and that's why I love it. I'm a 12 year old plane enthusiast and have seen the small Saab 340 to the colossal 747-400. This airport serves you quick, and you won't be sorry!! The airport operations manager is so nice!!! He was willing to take my family on a tour of the airport!

You can fly anywhere from VPS, but you're stopping in Atlanta first. The security here is usually quick and painless, and the police officers I've met all have good attitudes.

Expect a clean and quiet terminal. This airport isn't international, but it's quick and pleasant to fly in and out of. The cell reception at baggage claim is non-existent.

Great regional airport. Highway access is very good and it is very easy to get in and out of. Premium parking in the long term lot can be hard to find but there is a golf cart to give you rides. The short term lot is very convenient for walk ins. Security here does not like you waiting for even a small amount of time at the lane closest to the terminal. There's a cell phone lot just prior as well as a parallel lane where you'd be better off waiting. There's a restaurant inside and outside of security, I've never had a line going through TSA, and check in has always been quick.
