This is a fun place. I've been there 4 or 5 times. There are a few "weirdos" (a group of 3-4 middle aged guys) who were there each time I went (they're pretty unforgettable) but they seem harmless, just weird.
For a country bar there was a lot of hip hop played. Also, they had some very strange people there who made me and my girlfriend very uncomfortable. All in all we stayed about 15 minutes and then left. Definitely not worth the 11 dollar cover charge.
Constant music, great dance floor, lots of cool air to keep you cool while dancing.
Last night was the third time I have been there. There is usually a mixed crowd. Although a larger percentage appears to be young 20 somethings. There are two bar areas. One in the front right as you walk in. The other is towards the back, near the bathrooms. There are bathrooms on the left and right sides of the building. There are also two boxing game machines to test your testosterone (punching power). My boyfriend's son and his friends are mma fighters. So, they had fun with it. Guys!
Music is mostly country with some pop and rap mixed in. I really don't get the line dancing to rap and hip hop though. Kind of funny to me. I'm not a follower. So, I tend to just avoid the line dancing part, which appears to be mostly a bunch of people trying to watch and keep up with a few who actually know the steps. Entertaining to crowd watch. Sometimes you see the drunks falling over or trying to get a number. Hilarious.
Was there @ 5-6 Saturdays. Back in time to 1989 " My Maria " is anthem here. All tunes are looped each visit. Crowd is local apparently. Like a family reunion every weekend ? Same girls wearing the same clothes. The dudes are quite average and kinda stale. I will say the petite brunette bar girl never fails to define HOT. Venue is an old strip mall store decked out in 1984 "Gilly's" trim without the riding bull. Warning - Line dancing to repeated "rap" tunes. So If must visit do so for 6 mths and someone may talk to you.
This place just ripped me off tonight. It was 1 dollar beers, 50 cent drinks and 6 dollar shots. I had 7 beers (Coor's Light), 5 Vodka Green Tea shots, 1 Vodka shot, and 1 Cranberry and Vodka drink. With simple math this is 43.5, not 65 dollars that they charged me. Tried to debate the bill the bill, they would not listen to me and would not provide a itemized receipt and kicked me out of the bar for challenging them on the bill. I talked to a older gentleman and older lady. If I am a manger or owner I would advice chatting with me before I debate this bill with my credit card company. 43.5 plus tax is better than nothing.
Fun if you like country music. Huge huge space, good for large parties, bachelor parties and other get togethers. Huge dance floor and two full size bars.
They also have a separate room in the back where they offer live music. They get super busy! Bar tenders do a really good job making sure everyone is taken care of considering the volume of people they serve. Small outdoor patio for smokers.
If you're looking for a great place to get your (country) dance on, look no further! Excellent dancing with a nice large dance floor, and cheap drinks to boot. Put on your denim and your cowgirl boots and you can boogey all night without any risk of breaking the bank, and with ready access to skilled dance partners.
Don't expect the shiniest, snazziest joint, but then again you come here for the dancing (and dollar drinks), not the digs.
Always too hot, too loud and people are too drunk! The dance floor constantly has beer and glass all over it. No one monitors the dance floor so I guess you're allowed to take drinks onto it. The dj rarely plays any actual country songs. However, if you like pop in your country this is the place for you!
Always a friendly and fun atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. The DJ knows how to keep the people happy. Great place to dance with friends or your significant other.
Cheap drinks and fun to go country swing dancing. However the staff can use some adjustment. The bouncers were rude to my"ethic" male friends and tried charging cover at 7:30 when it's suppose to be free until 8.
Good hotdogs outside Wednesday night after 11. Decent drink prices early too. Country bar with some mix. Only two groups go here To get railed and a train run it to country dance. About it
