Nice park to take a walk, jog, or bike. Quite a lot of wildlife around to watch. Picnic tables are available for first come first serve.

I would say the rating would depend on how far you want to hike and how much you like hiking on the road?! This trail has approximately 1 mile of road walking (which I detest) and was not expecting after only being on the wooded trail for 1 mile. I would not recommend starting from Deer Creek , but rather drive into Alliance and starting from Iron Horse Trailhead which is all wooded. And over 5 miles one way, for a great hike!

Beautiful and simple setting for a picnic or just to read a book. Enjoy of Mahoning Valley Trail. A good biking destination.

I love it out here lots of nice scenery and paths to walk, there's a boat entry, lots of picnic area, and most importantly I always catch a lot of catfish.

Deer Creek is limited to electric motors under 5 hp so it's a great place for kayaking and canoeing. There's a walking/biking trail and picnic areas.
