Great place, but too many asians. This place is lacking in diversity and needs to change it. Its a real bother.
Amazing College! I'm currently on my 2nd quarter, and so far, I love the campus! The food tastes and smells so good! They have a variety of clubs to join, as well as electives to choose from. Everyone is friendly, and directive. There's so many diverse people here, and the community is so kind! I love to sit around the benches whenever I want to read, talk with friends, or play on my handheld game system near the white house replica as I listen to the birds chirping. Plus, if you're planning to transfer to a 4 year, or a university, De Anza is the best college I recommend for that. The counselors here will help you on your transfer, and get your associates degree. :)
Best community college ever if you utilize all the great resources they provided. Also best burgers are hidden in their cafeteria. Gotta love that burger and nugget make with real chicken meat.
I have 3 degrees from this college with honors. This college is better than a lot of university's in my book. Best community college in the country. You'll love the experience and education you'll receive.
I had a great experience here as an international student!
If you’re also an international student there preparing to transfer, remember that classes there at De Anza are way more easy, fun and interesting!
People there are super friendly nice! I miss the cafeteria so much! Where everyone gathered to chat or do homework together! Make as many friends as possible while you’re there, cause universities are not the same anymore...
So ridiculous assessment test center staff. The lady who is making appointment for placement is always angry and talk rudely with walk ins. So embarrassing
Nice college campus. Just here for the summer school
I love De Anza. Closer to a 4 year institution than a normal 2 year. Broad curriculum to prepare for transfer.
Great teachers and counselors ! Great resources to help you succeed
The supposed best college with a 2 year degree is actually the richest 2 year college. The school has technology but signs read "understaffed." This impacts transfer students.
DAC truly is an excellent junior college. They have a strong AA system, and at the same time they place equal emphasis on students (like myself) wishing to transfer to a 4-year without an AA degree. Their teachers are highly enthusiastic about their respective subjects and motivated to give you a solid education.
De Anza's academic counselors are somewhat hit-or-miss when it comes to quality; you will encounter some who are damn good at their job, but some others quickly give that "I've been here too long", uninterested vibe. This isn't a big enough problem to lower the rating I've given, however.
Go here. Over West Valley, over Evergreen. I firmly believe this is the best-quality JC to attend (especially if you're transferring).
A highly rated community college with and excellent reputation and high completion and transfer rates. Academic calendar is quarter based. Excellent history and anthropology departments. Most departments here are very good. This is a large school with over 20,000 students, including a large percentage of foreign students. One of the best community colleges in California.
