Excellent service, everyone from the front desk clerks to the housekeepers were super friendly and very helpful. It’s a great location, and the rooms were really nice.
Seriously one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Surprisingly, a Days In, I found my room updated, smell-free, comfy and affordable. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in town. The breakfast was adequate with a nice dining area and options.
Quick front desk service, spacious room, very comfortable bed. Only thing I didn't care for was no fan in the bathroom. Otherwise a perfect choice for the area
Was pretty happy with cleanliness, location and 2 of the 3 clerks. We were looking for a reasonable rate for a brief weekend break . Weekend cleaning ladies were very nice!
Would give a 5, but Monday’s cleaning lady opened our door at 9:30 even though our “do not disturb” was out. Would definitely recommend,( but probably next time.. just let the clerk know for the cleaning lady not to disturb from that end.)
Other than that, we were very happy with our stay. Beds were comfy, room & bathroom was clean, and it had a good location. Check out is at noon, which is nice. Would definitely recommend and return. (Found that Saturday evening’s Clerk, to be the nicest, most helpful, & accommodating! )Thank you!
Days Inn was nice for a budget style Hotel. Well it was clean and smelled good, but beds were hard and pillows were too soft, having a variety in the room would have been better. Like one hard and one soft bed, and of the eight pillows in the room they could have been different styles to accommodate different people. The free breakfast was nice. Waffles and fruit are always good, eggs were pre-made and tough. Biscuits and gravy were dry, boiled eggs would have been a nice option and when left in the shell, will last for days. Over all the people, pool and hot tub were nice.
My recent stay at Days Inn & Suites in Wausau, WI ended up being a disaster. I had stayed there the week prior on business and found the hotel to be acceptable. It was clean and updated and a good value. The following week I was back again on business, and all went fine again with my stay. The following day, however, I received a call from the front desk clerk stating that the “bed scarf” was missing. I explained that I had seen it, and tossed it to the side of the bed. She was going to check again with housekeeping and with the manager. I received 2 more calls from her saying that it hadn’t been found, and they would be charging me $90 for it. I then asked to speak to the manager. He was not available, and they would not give me a direct number for him, so I left a message. When he called back the following day, he left me a voicemail. His tone was very accusatory and condescending. He said if I liked the scarf so much, I could keep it, but would be charged $90. But, if I decided to send it back he would refund it. He also accused me of lying about my check in time. When I was finally able to speak directly to him, he still accused me of taking it, and stated that I was the last one in the room. He refused to even entertain the thought that his staff may have taken it.
The hotel is a nice enough place but at what cost??? $90 for something I don’t have, nor would I want? The treatment I received was abhorrent. I don’t know what kind of a scam they are running, but STAY FAR AWAY!
I did speak to the corporate office and they treated me much better. They were surprised at the treatment I received. Hopefully they will make things right.
Super clean rooms and hotel. They were very accommodating for a last minute reservation. Shirley at the front desk during check-out was friendly and professional. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in Wasau.
The hotel looks like it has just been remodeled but it gives off a cheap vibe. The hot tub isn't anything special either. It's fine if you just need somewhere cheap to stay.
Comfortable beds, helpful staff, clean rooms. The breakfast was pretty good. My only complaint is that the drapes didn't close in the room, so when the sun came up, there was no way to block it. Other than that it was fantastic.
No ice. Hallway felt like 100 degrees. Ice machines were melting fast with no ice. Called front desk twice to be placed on hold both times waiting for more than a minute. Room smelled like sweaty old balls. Bed was comfortable. But no kne around to provide me with an extra pillow I needed. Not the worst place we've stayed, but won't return.
Breakfast was good, hot tub was relaxing. Location was conveniently located right off the highway. Checked in late at night and clerk may have been new but it took awhile for others ahead of me to get checked in that didn't have reservations.
I was shocked after walking into the Days Inn in Wausau and having such poor customer service by the owner. I have stayed at this place before but the owner has never been at the front desk. I had called ahead to get a room next to the pool and when I tried to tell this to the owner, she just smiled and put me in a room that was as far away from the pool as possible. I am not sure if she could not speak English but it was a long walk for my kids and I. i tried to explain things a few times but she smiled and pointed towards the hallway. I was not happy and extremely frustrated. I usually love the places where I stay and the people that work in these places but this place certainly gave me a bit of frustration, especially when I had promised my kids a pool side room. Very disappointing!
Conveniently located near major highways and several restaurants. We checked in as part of a large group which took over a half hour because only one friendly and competent person was working the front desk. fortunately we got a first floor room as there is no elevator.
Clean and comfortable rooms; well-appointed with many electrical sockets, fridge, and microwave; loved the waffles and sausages for breakfast! The pool area was well-maintained and a perfect spot to
relax. Although the basement conference room would have been great for our game night, it as it needed to be reserved and paid for in advance. Alas, we turned in after being booted from the lobby.
