The receptionist was extremely rude. Kept rolling her eyes and making snide remarks and rude noises. The free breakfast if you want to call it that was pitiful at best. And there were roaches! I was terrified there would be bed bugs! Not a good place to stay at all! I wouldn't give it any stars if that was an option.

It's okay. The room decor was nice. The place was clean. There isn't much to do there though. You have to drive to get food. The hard part is turning left onto the road, when you're actually sitting right near a traffic light. The staff was ehh (not rude, but defintely no southern hospitality).

This was truly THE WORST hotel experience my husband and I have ever had! We called the tool free # to reserve a room late on a Friday night. I explained that I would hold the room with my credit card, but that I would be paying cash for the room. 15 minutes later we arrived and upon checking in, the lady working the front desk (I believe her name was Eda,) was rude right from the very start. She told me that if I was paying cash that there would be a $300 cash deposit!!! I claimed that we did not have that much and asked her if she could work with us in any way to help us out. She said that the hotel has a policy that they don't rent to anyone that lives within a 50 mile radius. I explained that we are in the process of moving and that all of our furniture and possessions were in a U-Haul, and that we just needed a bed to sleep in for the night. She pretty much refused to work with us, so I asked to speak to the manager Then all of a sudden she was willing to work things out. She made me pay a $100 cash deposit plus the room rate, but we had to have our room inspected upon checkout before they would return our deposit. Eda was unnecessarily and extremely rude through the entire process! We had to go BACK to the front desk after checking in because our key cards wouldn't unlock the door to our room! And we had a smoking room, because that's all they had left! Ugh. This place is a joke! Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money somewhere that appreciates you!

Hotel night staff was nice enough. We only talked to the man at the front desk. As we were very tired from hiking and driving all day, this was one of the cheaper options, but still overpriced. I digress. It really wasn't too bad. The comforter in the non smoking room we got only had 3 cigarette burns in it that we could see. We didn't look too carefully at the carpets since we were so tired. The bed was at about an average comfort level, I personally sank in a little more than I like, but the pillows were quite comfy. At about 2:30, we were awoken by a loud party atmosphere happening right outside of our window. It was so loud, I originally thought it was the room next to us. We honestly felt like we were attending this party it was that loud. We could have participated in discussions they were having. The man at the front desk could have, as well because it was all happening right outside of where he was. Dispite this, the party didn't end until about 3:45. Finally, some sleep came, but I was awoken again at about 6:30 by what I could only assume was a Tyrannosaurus Rex stomping upstairs. As I got up and prepared to run from the beast, I noticed something carved in the shower wall. I got a little closer because I didn't have my glasses on yet, but there it was. "F*** YOU FRINK" as clear as day right there for all to see.
Overall, it was. "meh". I think 2 stars might be generous, but I have a full belly now from a Cracker Barrel that isn't too far away, so I'm in a good mood.

the staff are very, very rude, the rooms are not clean! If you book a room you better make sure they don't give it to someone else and give you what is left. That is what happen to me! I will never stay there again

I would leave a NO star rating. Avoid this it is overpriced (100$ due to hikes prices for hurricane)
The rooms are dated and shabby. The worst thing is the reception person. Wow talk about rude !!! I have complained to Wyndham resort directly. Too many of these privately owned hotels ruin the reputation for other hotel owners. Not good.

The toilet in our original room didn't work and the only offer from the front desk was for my boyfriend to plunge it himself. Didn't offer to change our room until I called corporate. Will never stay here again.

It was cheap but lacks a pool. The lady at the front desk was mean at first and accused us of lying and wanted to charge us more. At the end everything was cleared up and it was a decent stay.

It's just a regular hotel. Cheap. Clean. The beds were bad though. If you have a high requirement of sleep comfort, it's not going to happen here. Woke up and my back was broke

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This hotel is DIRTY, the front desk staff is rude and the manager refused to refund the overcharges on my card blaming it on a third party. The third party contacted him for the refund and he still would not refund the charges. That is BAD business. I would not recommend staying here EVER. There are other, cleaner hotels in the area worth the additional couple of dollars for the experience and cleanliness alone.

I booked a reservation online which they lost and didn't have a record of when I got there so they gave my room away to someone else. The lady behind the counter didn't look like she had a clue how to work a computer told me she couldn't give me another room.
Then somehow she ended up giving me a room I asked for a late check-out what she gave me at 2 o'clock check out when I called to confirm on Sunday morning they said they had no record of my check out for 2 o'clock. I paid $40 more than what I was supposed to pay for the room that I booked online and at this point arriving at 4 in the morning I didn't feel like Hotel searching that was the point of making a reservation. The man called me in the front desk on Sunday morning tell me I had to get out of the room now they had a reservation for that room. Their customer service is horrible very very rude and definitely not accommodating. They did nothing to try to fix any of the lost paperwork on their end. I'll be back to Morganton but not to that hotel.

Very rude front desk staffchecking in after a long day of work.traveling for work. I was turned down to stay the night because I didn't have an extra $200.00 for a deposit due to me paying with cash. It was just me checking in at 6pm and planning to checkout at 7am the next morning. The front desk clerk actually cursed at me as he directed me to leaveAfter all that I didn't want to stay at this Days Inn. I stayed comfortable at the hotel right next doorTHANK YOU QUALITY INN
