Incredible food. Extremely flavorful meat dishes. They don't skimp on quantity, you'll leave full. Tea is the reason I can't stop coming back sooo good!!

The Persian Ice cream is very delicious. That 🌹 rosewater gives it an exotic taste. Loved it.

They were rude. I didn't like the service one bit. Really surprised by the high ratings here

Delicious Persian food! Family friendly and the kids loved it. The hummus, kabobs and rice were all tasty. Very busy place, full of locals so happy we stumbled upon it on our trip.

Great food served quickly. Beware the portions are pretty big so you will probably be going home with leftovers :) we tried the kabobs, lamb, beef and chicken and all was awesome!

Worst place ever. I have no idea how this place got any ratings beyond a 1 star. Maybe because we're not middle eastern. The bald old man with the reading glasses at the register was very rude.
After placing our order, we asked for a cup of water and he asked if we wanted a "small $1.00, or large $2.00." I asked that they don't give "free" tap water here? He said no, but we soon realized there's glass pitchers & foam cups on certain tables.
When we got our beef koobideh, the meat was bland. The worst I've ever tasted. No wonder they give you chili & extra seasonings on the table for you to add it yourself.
I don't know what it is about this place and giving water, but one of the waiters took our water pitcher (thinking he was going to refill it and give it back)and placed it on another table!
I definitely would NOT recommend this place at all.

Delicious Persian food; so much food! We ordered one plate and that was enough to share for two people. Very kind, prompt service. Order at the counter, then sit down and they'll bring you your meal. Save room for dessert.

Always a great place to eat . Nice little culture change aswell. If your a night owl they are open till 2 so that's always nice to get something other than tacos and burgers athe that time a day

When you see an ethnic place packed with people who speak their own language. You know the food would be authentic. It's the kind of place where you see few female patrons. Doesn't take away from the fantastic flavors. And the complimantry tea. Make sure to dilute it!

Darband special is Fantastic. The kabobs are perfectly juicy seasoned well and always cooked to order. The beef tenderloin is so just great. The different soups are so good especially during the winter (San Diego winter). We love the lentil and okra soups (don't know the proper Persian names). There are really many options so explore. As for atmosphere, this place is casual. There always people playing backgammon outside and there is free Persian tea inside. The drinks are in the cooler, take what you need than pay after you eat. Love that..
